Biggest team flaws

DeFo no showed the SB vs KC. I'll never forget that.

edit this must be a mixup and intended for Dee Ford

Is this a joke?

Defo had 2 sacks in the SB LOL.

He was actually a beast. Part of the reason people were rightfully pissed with the trade.

Yeah, I'm going to assume he meant Dee Ford, who was a ghost in that SB.

The 49ers may need to have a couple years where they don't make the playoffs and end up in a position to draft higher. Maybe they can get some more draft capital by trading older players that can help another team. Even then they have to hope that it's a good draft when they get those higher picks. It's harder to project now with players staying longer in college because of the transfer portal and NIL money.

Not worth it IMO. This sport has so much parity, injuries and then fluke occurrences; especially these days. Just keep trying to win 1 week at a time and make it into the postseason.

Last week felt pretty damn good. It was an enjoyable season as a whole. We've made the SB with 3 different QBs over the past 12 years. We will return sooner than later. This isn't the Bills and time running out despair. 😄

Personnel management is the biggest problem BY FAR on this team. You can do all the fancy shifts and motions you want (Shany). If you don't know how to draft (bust after bust in the early rounds), free agency, extension contracts (Aiyuk... ), trades (Trey Lance... ) none of it matters. That's the most important thing of team building and we don't have it with Shany/Lynch. In fact we are very sub par there by league wide average. Nowhere near the elite groups like Howie Roseman.

Never thought I'd see the day that I agree with you on something lol

The biggest team flaw is the fact that they have zero impact players 25 years old or younger. Zero.
This is the answer, right here

Yup. A direct result of piss poor drafts

You know who else hasn't had good drafts recently. The Chiefs. Why? Because they've been drafting near the end of each round for several years. Same as the 49ers.

What a weak ass excuse lol. I can play that game if you want though….You know who also drafts near the end of each round consistently over several years; the Ravens and the Eagles. Yet they have many young studs that they drafted all over their rosters
It's been touched on this thread, but an aging core group of leaders that are nearing the end of their high performance and also injured. Need an influx of young guys through the draft and supplement in free agency. Stop being averse to starting rookies on offense.

We've had a few of those years sprinkled in. We torpedoed one of those drafts with Trey Lance.

Correct.

The Trey Lance fiasco cost us dearly.

Or we could just find another Warner/Kittle/Hufanga/DJ Jones/Lenoir, we might not have hit every pick, but we've found some absolute gems on Day 3.

Our most recent draft has some potential stars imo. Stout, Mykel Williams and Alfred Collins In particular have looked promising.
2023 Draft Class . Only 1 prolly here next year from that class is Winters. Like some one mentioned earlier 49ers need to draft a "violent bad guy" here and there that is just that.. Violent. To many "Nice guys" on this Roster. im sure with the Vets they have they can keep that locker room dynamic in check

Teams like the Seahawks and Patriots were quickly able to replenish their talent and trade us their cast offs for picks

First 2 days of picks are Lynch's decision

Think you might have missed the best one as well with CJ West, definitely shown promise, even Kolby had a few decent games. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him develop into a starter. I don't think Sigle can play with Mustapha or Brown due to the combined lack of speed, but could bring some value. Doesn't always have to be high first rounders that bring impact.
John lynch… dude can't draft or make good signings, he just a pr guy
The biggest issue the Niners have by far is they constantly REACH for their draft choices. Usually the happiest team in the draft is the team drafting after the Niners…
