6-3 with the easiest schedule in the league.

A DE like Hendrickson and a S would make us real hard to beat. But nope.

They would need more then two players and once in your in the playoffs you're playing real teams. Its pointless, theres a point where you just have too many injuries to fill and there beyond that.

But they did add two players in Ferrell and White, adding another would be more than two.

Hendrickson would require a 1 or a 2 plus he is a one-year expensive rental. One trade was not going to really change the trajectory of this year's team. We are also a little tight on cap space the next couple of years. A far a the easiest schedule that is based off of last year teams change. I am not sure anyone had Carolina on their playoff bingo card. Teams on our schedule in the playoff hunt Rams twice, Seacocks twice, Tampa bay, Carolina, Bears, Colts, Jags, plus twice against the Cards and all division games are tough.

Why are you bringing up Hendrickson the play was for Jermaine Johnson who could very well fit under the cap. 49ers will be $40 mil under next season and I think that's without the cap credit for Bosa.

Over the cap in 27 so will need some carry over plus what we need for 26. Jermaine Johnson coming off an ACL is not worth a 2nd round pick. He and his 2026 13.4 million cap hit might be worth a 4th but never a 2nd. 32 teams with 10 deadline day trades.

I know JJ is not worth a 2nd round pick hence the reason no one traded for him. What I'm saying is if he was traded to us we could definitely fit him under the cap.

His cap number is $13.4 million NEXT year,..and next year is a year when we will have to roll over as much as we can to get under the 2027 cap. Hence, it would not be very wise to kick that can down the road on a guy coming off an injury who was not a game-changer any way. He currently ranks #72 among all Edge Defenders.
Today's game was why i wanted to trade people away for picks. We have no defense and no hope to do anything in the playoffs. We could have traded a few people gotten some picks and rebuilt faster. This year has been lost for a while with these injuries.

I don't mind the no trades. Just make dam sure you hit on those picks.
No trades was right. This team is decimated. The picks are better than trying to save this lost season.

If he is still under contract for X number of years yes he's worth it. Not for a 1/2 year rental. Not sure of the structure of his contract. Assuming you were able to land him, can handle his salary, he has multiple years left on his deal so he stays around for a while. Yeah that's probably worth it depending on the price. I was the highest on him of anybody.

The problem is that we are over the cap in 2027. We have $38 million next year but can't plan on running on that for two years.

Cap can always be manipulated and cap space can always be freed up somewhere.

f**k the future make the moves the time WAS now. This season went to s**t already as soon as Lynch's ass puckered up at the trade deadline.

No , we were probably lucky a couple of wins and the front office knew it. Fred is the most under appreciated player in football. It should be he who should be paid the most other than QB. I just hope he comes back at the same level.

The new NFC is our rivals in our division. We can't currently compete. They did right not to invest.

I don't disagree Fred Warner needs to be signed to an extension. But Tatum Bethune was doing fine.

By not making any moves we basically laid down and waived the white flag with a winning record!!! People always thinking and worrying about the future. But that's why we're an inconsistent team, we're always injured, bad drafts and conservative moves. Go all in and say f**k it like your job is on the line, see that's the thing Shanahan and Lynch for too complacent and they think nothing will ever happen to them.

Tired of these f**kin injuries, tired of all these f**kin losing seasons.

...but we are over the cap for 2027 as things sit now.

The FO will want to roll over as much of the 2026 cap as possible. That $38 million is not just free money.

We can save over 40 million by cutting Trent Williams, CMC and Aiuyk in 2027.

3 guys we should have never extended. Along with Purdy
