Most projections peg Konga (6-3, 298 pounds) as a late-round pick or undrafted free agent. During Louisville's pro day in March, he may have boosted his stock by posting a 4.79-second 40-yard dash, a 37-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-2 broad jump, and 20 bench press reps.
The 49ers invested heavily in their defensive line last year, using three draft picks to select Mykel Williams, Alfred Collins, and CJ West. While the group remains an area of focus heading into this year's draft, San Francisco holds just six total selections.
Konga began his collegiate career at Rutgers, where he spent three seasons before transferring to Louisville for his final two. Over his career, he totaled 63 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, six sacks, eight passes defensed, and one forced fumble, per Sports Reference.
In 2025, Konga recorded 29 tackles, five tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks. He also led the team with six passes defensed and earned second-team All-ACC honors.
