The lack of pass rush and corners playing soft coverage have been an issue since week 1. It's just caught up to them the last 2 weeks. Cowboys game was the only great defensive performance this year. Not to mention look at who they played. All bad teams

49ers need a dominate win today. That can erase a lot of the bad taste that has accumulated the last couple of weeks.

This.

The offensive explosion of those first 5 games covered up the issues the defense has been having.

Take that offensive output away and we saw the last two games.
