Dude it's 7 games. You're talking about giving up 1st rd picks for that. GMs aren't gonna magically change all their scouting on how they evaluated a guy over that…I think Brock is for sure better than where he went. Do I think he's a multiple 1st rd QB worth trading for? No. Not yet.

People have really taken sides for zero reason other than human tribalism as usual. For the same reason I wanted Jimmy gone (saw multiple seasons of mediocrity) is why I can't bash or glorify Purdy or Lance. We need more data. I just hope Purdy comes back 100% because he looked fantastic.

if I had to guess he missed the first few games. With this team it should t be a season killer.

There is a third camp. You can join us if you want. It's the "No matter what happens we're going to have a good QB camp." If neither Trey or Sam steps up, well, we still have Brock. If either Trey or Sam become the guy, then they have dramatically improved and we're set at QB. It's the win-win camp.

Oh we agree. Which is why i say they aren't trading anyone. Darnold is an easy flyer. Imo they know they are solid with Brock and Trey. Darnold is just a bonus. Any trade would need to blow your socks off type and that isn't happening.

I see Brock Purdy starting the season on PUP.
He wouldn't be able to practice, but man has to re-learn to throw the football.
He won't be able to play the first month of the season, which he is not even expected to do so.
This allow you to stash Purdy for October.
Let Lance get another shot at QB1, golden opportunity for the kid.
Darnold is valuable because he has over 50 career starts. With putrid teams and coaches, this is the best he has had by a mile.
And you can draft another QB, any of the guys who have been linked with SF. If you're lucky you get another kid to be developed by Brian Griese with a dirt cheap contract for 4 years.
And back to Purdy. Once he gets 100% ready, season will be in week 5 at least, and the 49ers would know if they keep either Lance or Darnold.

No to PUP, the moment he's ready he needs to be active, you don't mess around with a week or 2 to save a roster spot. Your starting QB is much more valuable than that.

He won't have to relearn how to throw, as far as I'm aware, it's more of just strengthening his arm back up.

he said everything is going to plan, so he should be throwing by june 2. That means he will be 6-7/12 weeks through throwing ramp up by the time training camp even starts. Depending on how the arm ramp up training goes, he will be participating in the last week or two of camp at least.

if everything goes to plan, like it currently is, he will be 100% cleared by week 1. So If he misses a month, that would be just because of a setback.

the real questions to me is how long into arm strength training does he have to be in before he can participate in any sort of throwing practice with the team? Does he start participating at 70%? 80%? etc and then you get him into throwing into team activities?

i don't think they'll wait for his arm to be 100% before he starts any sort of team practice. Not because they're rushing him but part of identifying where he is will be in team activities. Especially if his arm is improved from before.

He has? Lol that's where I watched most of the games last yr. Including the NFC champ game 💔. I will continue to do buis with bdubs as I love their Dirty Tots & also Dirty Purdy:) They should rename the tots for a while. Dirty Purdy Tots:).

Also, I hope BP is on the 49ers for quite some time and doesn't go to another team. I would be 😔 lol

Yeah. Haha that's why he did those interviews last Friday - it was part of a partnership with BWW.

thats awesome. They really should!

This is the first player where I am influenced to buy products, because I wanna support companies who support the Brock. I get the Dirty Dubs Tots, their Everything Pretzel Knots, their drink menu is pretty good too. Happy hr specials. The Hatch Queso is super yummy too. And sometimes on Uber Eats or other food apps, they will have BOGO specials. I recommend all of those. Ok Brock, I did my part haha. #13 ❤️ lolol
All of this heavily depends on how his healing has progressed.

We've kept 3 QB's before and IMO would be smart to do again.

I think our opponents will be looking to hit Purdy often and hard.

I haven't been there in a while but I always liked them over wing stop for two reasons.
1. wingstop made me pay for ranch dressing - it was free at BWW, at least used to be.
2. Troy aikman was a big backer for wingstop when they were starting out. Hahaha

I've stated many times I don't care who's the starting guy as long as they turn into that guy. Now I have my concerns with Brock getting to and being consistently "that dude" and Lance has shown a couple flashes but has a lot of work to do to even be in that discussion…he needs to play football and that unfortunately (and stupidly) might not be here.

point is neither guy at this point should be looked at the long-term guy right now. The sample size is incredibly small. It's just another reason as to why trading anyone or putting a number on it is pretty dumb….we should be talking about the draft right now. Not how much we would get in a trade for so an so (that isn't going anywhere).

Unless they actually need those couple weeks to get back into football form. Let's not roll out the RG3 plan. You make damn sure he's 100% AND in football shape both physically/mentally before tossing him out there.

I think it's a good bet that ONE of the three on the roster will be though.
