It does feel like Kyles moving to power run game doesn't it? For me, this draft addresses the long term QB issue with Trey Lance. I'm pretty confident he'll be torching defenses in a year or two with Kyle coaching him up.

Finally Kyle's 4 minute offense has some teeth. In both super bowl losses, I think the power run 4 minute offense was Kyle's Achilles heel. He needed a run game that can put teams away in the 4th QTr. Those two OLinemen and those RBs look like tailor made for a 4 minute offense. (B+)

Isn't Wilson more of a bigger back? I'm wondering if at the cut down if Elijah Mitchell, Wayne Gallman Jr. both play great, do you deal Mostert? He's not gonna be back in 2022 IMO, after asking for more money/new deal, gonna be 30 or so, seems Sermon will replace him touch wise.

As for the draft, A+, I love Lance, glad we filled the IOL holes with Banks, who should start at RG week 1, Jaylon Moore likely is the backup T, then take over at LG or RG, with Banks at LG in 2022. I think Brunskill could be groomed to be a C, he should be the backup C IMO

I was surprised by the Sermon pick, but like I said, I see him taking Mostert's spot in 2022.

the 3 DBs are nice, I like Ambry Thomas, Dede Lenoir, & Talaona Hufgana.

The Mitchell pick was odd, but Kyle liked his speed, so, I wonder if maybe they keep 5 backs, 5 WRs, and use Mitchell like CAR used Curtis Samuel, as a RB/Slot WR.

I was very surprised they invested that much into the RB squad. Jeff Wilson has done a pretty good job when healthy, and I'm thinking they can stash him on the practice squad if Trey Sermon beats him out of a spot. Both Trey and Jeff are good sized backs that can break tackles for the 4 minute offense. I like the two OLine picks for the same reason, can they road grade the DLine on 3rd and 1 for the 4 minute offense? I think for certain Banks can.

I like Moors athleticim, and am wondering how he'd look playing center. Agree about Brunskill, he's a good developmental center behind Mack.

As for the 3 DBs, I hope one can excell and take over Sherman's role. 3rd and 15, if the defense holds, that's a 6th Lombard.

Mostert and Jeff, do you trade them? If they do well this year and the 49ers are in the super bowl (win or lose) i can see clueless bottom feeding teams giving ShanaLynch some draft capital for them or some of the other backup players. I agree on Mitchell, unless they think he's another Mostert, can play special teams and develop the way Mostert did? How many backs will they carry and is the covid practice squad rules still in place for 2021? I liked the way they addressed the OLine after picking up Trey. Trey is going to be special under Kyle, watch out NFL, Drew Breese that can run like Lamar Jackson is **In The House!**

The draft grade really is going to be contingent on Trey Lance. You can have all the other draft picks flop but if he ends up being a franchise QB, then the niners still will get a good draft grade. Its like drafting an Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Manning. If you get a Franchise QB but all the other picks suck, 10 years from now you won't remember.

Personally, I like the draft strategy. Many may not like drafting 2 RBs, but with season being 17 games now, I think we are going to need additional RBs (even if some are stashed in PS) as that position seems to be the position that goes through RBs due to injuries. I like that we bolstered the interior o-line. And most important, I feel Shanahan seems to be learning when it comes to drafting. In prior drafts, he seemed to shy away drafting IOL and RBs as many here think you don't have to value these positions as much as other positions due to Shanahan's system. I'm glad he drafted these positions rather than rely on UDFAs. Also- I felt like there wasn't that scenario where they traded and over drafted a player (ala Pettis and Beathard). This has been driving me crazy about Lynch/Shanahan drafts. Maybe they have learned from these past mistakes.

I'm also intrigued by the Talanoa Hufanga pick. If healthy, I think he could be a great pick for us. He seems like he could be webzone favorite (ala Hurd).

Totally agree and this team is pretty much loaded other than the RG that needs to start right away. But some of our players resigned are on one year deals also. If these short term players are not brought back due to being too expensive or other circumstances, we have the rookies ready to compete for a starting positions on rookie contracts. For now, they'll be more like rotational or draft and stash until they are ready to go. Other than that, I like our depth and the management did a nice job this year.

The expectation will be for the offense, in particular the running game, to be the main gear of this team. Trent Williams, Juice, Kittle and McGlinchey are all elite run blockers. Mac and Tomlinson are good too. They drafted 2 RBs because the entire backfield becomes FA in 2022, and neither of those guys have been durable enough. They picked 2 OL who I feel will be really good in the NFL, durable, physical, big and nasty players.

Defense will have struggles, but not because of the talent. Robert Saleh is gone and Demeco is a rookie. It helped that Demeco learned from Saleh and got 2020 as an extra year (they were surprised Saleh wasn't hired that year so Demeco had that year to keep learning). There will be growing pains and a elarning curve, we saw that with Saleh as well. But it helps a lot the defensive starters came back and even Sherm could be back for a year. The DB they drafted are for depth and development, since some of those guys will look for the bag in 2022.

The 6th round RB will most likely be a PK/KR which this team desperately needs.

Finally, this was a draft like no other. First time they draft an IOL. First RB they draft since Joe Williams. First QB they draft since Beathard. First draft they don't pick DL or WR.

Overall, incredible draft. Don't listen to dumb people saying they "didn't draft starters". Ignore them, they have no clue how this works.

u SEE... this guy at least is basically saying it doesn't matter what others grades are..

bottom line, we can all say we liked it or not, but we wont KNOW until after the 3rd year..

... AND that includes EVERRYYYYYYYYY QBs that got drafted or not drafted this year..

It all depends on Trey Lance, all the other draft picks combined do not matter for this class... if Trey becomes a top 10 QB in the league by year 3 then this draft is an A, anything less then it is a total flop and grade F

grade the draft how you want it, but don't go CRYING because others like it or hate it..

I just chose A- because didn't like the trade up for Sermon, every other move was incredible as usual
