It was just one game.. but I can point to a couple plays and say Fields was the reason CHI won. Two plays in particular. You may say.. well those guys were wide open. So was Kroft. Hit your layups.

End of the day it's just one game.. there is still a whole season out there for TL and us to WIN.

Sure hit your layups. But the biggest reason the Bears won is the 9ers beat themselves.

We had dumb penalties for sure. I go back to an old Madden quote. He said great players don't always have to be great.. they just have to be great when they need to be. In other words.. what are you doing in winning time? Fields rose up hit multiple TD passes. Who will rise up for us next time in the late 3rd / 4th qtr? We are actively looking for 4th quarter playmakers. KS needs 4th quarter help big time.

One QB got to marinate for a year with one of the greatest offensive minded coaches. One QB is surrounded by all pros and one QB is throwing to a player we cut cause of how s**tty he was.

One QB got gifted 100 penalty yards the other QB didn't. If it were the other way around we win the game too. Two can play this game

One QB was gifted with average starting position at the 40, one at the 10. One QB was gifted with a roster full of pro bowlers and all pros, a quarterback guru for a coach, a dominant running game and offense line.

Good teams don't do that

It happens all the time. There's 17 games in a season. Nearly every team is going to have some poor games, not play up to what they are capable of and allow bad teams to stick around too long. There hasn't been an undefeated SB winner since the 70s.

Trey needs work but he absolutely wasn't the reason for yesterday's loss. let him continue to take his lumps.

He wasn't the reason we won either

like this is some profound statement lol

He's right, though.

Eexactly my point. They mortgaged their future for this guy, he better be ready. No excuses, if he's not ready bench his ass. This is a Super Bowl roster and the NFL is a fickle place. Win now or win never.

Exactly my point too. The 9ers have already dished out big contracts to a number of star players including Warner, Trent, Kittle and Deebo. That means the team by right is ready to win now. The only way the 9ers can recoup such a huge investment is to win as much as possible and hopefully including a Super Bowl. If Lance does a Josh Allen and needs 2 full years of starting before coming good in Year 3 (that is if he comes good at all), our star players will be aging by then. Our realistic window is this year and next year. Anytime after that, if Lance still remains as the 9ers QB, he will have to win with another group of players.

If the other team scores more points, that will make it harder to win.

Kid needs alot of work

Most do after 3 games

Kap didn't. He didn't even need one game. The moment he stepped onto the field he was already killing it immediately, took us to a Super Bowl in the same year and was hot for a couple of years.

Likewise, Jimmy's first couple of NFL games with the Pats were also pretty impressive which ultimately led to the 9ers agreeing to trade for him when Belichick called up. To follow up from his Pats outing, Jimmy also killed it immediately the moment Beathard was injured and scored a touchdown right away against the Seahawks with 2 mins left in the game. He then started for the 9ers and won all 5 remaining games of the season when the 9ers only had one lousy win all season before his arrival.

This!!!

We had a dominant running game and a dominant offensive line yesterday?

Look, we know you dont like Lance, and thats your prerogative. But theres no need to embelish a bunch of nonsense and/or lie completely.

Deebos fumble is on him but cute straw man. Alright we just need the rest of the games to perfect weather for our QB cause it's not fair he had to play in the rain.

I expect our super bowl roster to lift up the kid instead of fumbling in the RZ, blowing blocks, gifting 1st downs and giving the other team 100 yards. Yeah the rain played a part especially towards the end.

Yeah. It makes It easier when the losing team manages to score a measly 10 points.

i'll go ahead lay much of the blame on the weather in the 4th qtr.

we've already seen Trey mount a comeback (last year against HOU) so i'm not too worried

Trey will be fine and I hope he grows into the best QB in the league. I think this is possible with Kyle Shanahan.

Both Joe Montana and Steve Young looked pretty bad when they took over the full-time job. It took Joe about five games to find his footing during that 1981 season. Nobody remembers the first three games, when the 49ers stumbled out to a 1-2 start, because Joe didn't look anything like the Joe he would become.

i'm old enough to remember.
