I also wonder why they would leak this. Keep it in house and try to trade him instead of just releasing him. Just odd

I mean they purposely waited until the media left the facility, then leaked it through their mouth pieces. So no other media had a chance to ask some questions. And now nothing but what they want out there will be out there for most of the weekend to carry the narrative before more legit info comes out. This is some politics s**t that happens on Friday evenings.

Expect more stuff to be leaked (maybe from Brandon's side) Sunday morning or evening before Sunday night football.. but for sure more stories to come out Monday before our Monday night game. Wouldn't be surprised if ex-players chime in.

Also I don't expect Jauan Jennings to come back for a good deal... he already feels screwed... and he saw how s**t went down with Deebo and now Brandon. Will probably leave for a regular deal that the 9ers would want to match, which he'd decline, like what happened with Dre Greenlaw.

Kyle has his regular post-practice presser tomorrow, so I'm not sure they really planned it like you're claiming.

Ok my mistake.. that being said they still waited until everyone left today. Let's see how deep Kyle gets into it tomorrow.

Better for him to clear as much up before Monday's game.

They are making bold declarations in the media. Without any specific details. This is very murky right now.

According to the report, they voided it do to skipped meetings and declining to participate in team activities, asserting that the absences amounted to a failure to fulfill his contractual obligations. If the report of him not fighting back with the NFLPA is true, then it is likely true. Really strange we haven't heard anything about this until this point.

It's actually encouraging they kept it this quiet. I don't miss the days when everything was leaking out of the building.

BA has played this well. He got his money and now wants to play for a coach that lets him do what he wants. It was clear from his rookie year that Kyle did not like the effort he was putting out and demanded more. So, BA did what he had to do to get paid and now rides off into the sunset.

Actually Aiyuk f'ed up by losing $26 million of his signing bonus ... he's a mental case

The big mistake was not trading him last year when he was showing signs of insanity

John Chapman said that Aiyuk told the NFLPA not to fight it. Btw the 9ers didn't void his contract only the guarantees on it. If they voided his contract he would've been released today.
I still remember right after the loss in the Super Bowl, reporters interviewed him (and his family) their vibe was all contract and so off for the moment. I even commented about it. I guess now we know. This kid is surrounded by some serious morons.

I was wondering how he went from this in mid August to not even being around to not having his practice window opened yet. Now we know.

Very unfortunate turn of events for all involved. We all lose if this breakup happens. No more W1, unnecessary hit to the salary cap, fans left with unanswered questions about the impact on the teams ability to compete at a high level due to front office blunders and the negative sentiment that will follow a young player who we all thought was well on his way to becoming a star. It's all rather sad.

That's my point. We have a lot of "player advocates" here on a 49er fan forum so I guess that's just par for the course but leverage is reality. NFL ownership can be had when they're desperate to win as we were right after losing a close Super Bowl. I was skeptical of paying players like champs when they weren't just because we wanted to run it back.

I felt everyone all at the same time wanted to rush to get theirs before our QB playing on pennies got his. Then we had guys stil under contract wanting to get paid like free agents.

At some point I was in favor of trading some of these guys prior to the draft or letting them play out their deal as is. Steve Young said it best when he expressed his bewilderment at the time and was saying that the team was trying to win and these guys lost but wanted a pay raise early all at once

I just don't see how the team can keep allowing players missing training camp to shoehorn them into paying players early for an offseason filled with a lack of preparation to do exactly what I'm supposed to be paying a premium for. Guys are looking to be paid like free agents with a year left on their deal while missing training camp

Crazy work

And yes, he surely has a delusional circle and now it sure seems that the organization is drawing the line with how we will do business going forward

Two years ago, many thought we had one of the best WR rooms in the NFL.

In 2026, WR will be a massive position of need yet again.

SMFH

To some extent, perhaps, but not as much as you think.

We have Pearsall and Watkins, and that is a great place to start for the future of the WR room.

Is this satire?

Pearsall who can't stay healthy or Watkins who has 1 catch?

We had a dominant DLine. Two deep. And it's gone and the worst DLine in the league.

We had a dominant WR group. And that's gone.

All in a few short years. This regime is one big failure after another,

Add WR1 to the list of massive needs now along with LT, LG, C, DE, DT, LB, CB and S

But let's all have faith in this group that selects busts with 95% of their picks and let's all our good players leave

They will come after you if you don't fall in line and have 100% blind faith in the managment and coaching.

If released, I bet he goes to the Raiders so he can be back in his hometown. I don't see the Commanders being interested with Scary Terry getting paid and having Deebo, then again Commanders can still release him. But I'm gonna predict:

#1 - Raiders

#2 - Broncos

#3 - Cards

#4 - Chargers

#5 - Phins
Wonder if we can still trade him? Just wondering if we can trade him to the Eagles for AJ Brown.

from what I Understand he is still under contract and if he thinks the Eagles are a better fit and AJ hates it there they maybe willing to swap disgruntled players.

also I just don't get it from BA's perspective. You're injured all you have to do is show up for whatever meetings and you get all your money. Once healed you'd be the #1 WR and the #1 target on a playoff caliber team. You got the money you wanted so it can't be about your contract. It's insane to me.

Hey now they use this money to bring in Kyle Pitts!!! Could you imagine Kittle and Pitts in this offense?? Wouldn't mind if they picked up Alec Pierce or Noah Brown.
I was always of the opinion they shouldn't have given him that big contract. I like Aiyuk but he simply wasn't a $27 million a year receiver. I would have traded him and extended Jennings which they probably could have done for $12 million before he had that good season last year.

Plus all of that nonsense in camp last year was just a bad look and I think probably cost him some fan support and pissed of some people in the building he couldn't really afford to piss off. Like Jed York.
