To some extent, perhaps, but not as much as you think.

We have Pearsall and Watkins, and that is a great place to start for the future of the WR room.

Is this satire?

They kind of had to, this has been going on since training camp and kept it under wraps. Then reporters are saying they don't ever even see him anymore.

They didn't have to. They wanted to for whatever reasons. The niners media is pretty soft and they rarely ask any hard questions. Now they looking at a 29.5 million dead cap hit next year. I'm not cap expert but just seems they could've tried to played this better in hopes of trading him rather than just releasing him. It didn't end like this for Deebo. So that just makes me think it's way more to this story than some skipped meetings and practices. Or maybe the injury and contract make him somebidy that no team would trade for.

No because it's just a starting point... obviously there's free agency and the draft

Bring back KB and see what happens in camp (Robinson, Moore, Cowing, Watkins, Bergen and whoever else comes along)

They can't roll that crew of wrs out there and expect to win many games. They definitely need to add another guy opposite of RP

We still might be able to trade him, wouldn't get much. When your #1 receiver is awol for for several weeks right around when you expect him to be able to return how are they going to hide that? There's definitely more to this but I don't think you can blame the front office on leaking info

Absolutely. Not to mention, injuries will take its course... we have a couple guys who are solid backups, but we need another WR2 and a nice pick in the draft or just get a couple free agents in here

Pearsall who can't stay healthy or Watkins who has 1 catch?

We had a dominant DLine. Two deep. And it's gone and the worst DLine in the league.

We had a dominant WR group. And that's gone.

All in a few short years. This regime is one big failure after another,

Add WR1 to the list of massive needs now along with LT, LG, C, DE, DT, LB, CB and S

But let's all have faith in this group that selects busts with 95% of their picks and let's all our good players leave

By voiding his contract, we may not have the right to trade him. I'm not sure on that but I don't think any team is going to give us anything anyway knowing he will not play here any more.

BA has played this well. He got his money and now wants to play for a coach that lets him do what he wants. It was clear from his rookie year that Kyle did not like the effort he was putting out and demanded more. So, BA did what he had to do to get paid and now rides off into the sunset.

Voiding his contract is the same as a release if I'm not mistaken. So no, we have no rights.

I knew paying him wasn't the answer, but I didn't expect this. I do think this hurts him long term in the wallet.

I mean, we're currently first in passing yards this season…

Did he, though? All he needed to do was continue rehabbing and put in a good faith effort to have the remaining guarantees vest. He couldn't even do that. Plus, who is going to give him a big contract now? Sure, he made himself a good chunk of money. But he left a lot more on the table and potentially sabotaged himself moving forward.

I mean they purposely waited until the media left the facility, then leaked it through their mouth pieces. So no other media had a chance to ask some questions. And now nothing but what they want out there will be out there for most of the weekend to carry the narrative before more legit info comes out. This is some politics s**t that happens on Friday evenings.

Expect more stuff to be leaked (maybe from Brandon's side) Sunday morning or evening before Sunday night football.. but for sure more stories to come out Monday before our Monday night game. Wouldn't be surprised if ex-players chime in.

Also I don't expect Jauan Jennings to come back for a good deal... he already feels screwed... and he saw how s**t went down with Deebo and now Brandon. Will probably leave for a regular deal that the 9ers would want to match, which he'd decline, like what happened with Dre Greenlaw.

I do have faith that the 49ers organization is playing this right.

Kyle has his regular post-practice presser tomorrow, so I'm not sure they really planned it like you're claiming.
