You'll move the chains with Deebo, Aiyuk, Taylor and Bourne.
Then we get to the redzone, an area where we royally struggle. Our offense was the second higuest scoring and 4th in yards, but only converted 51% trips to the redzone to TD. Imagine changing that? Add the big boys, at this area YAC doesn't mean much. You put Hurd, Bourne, Jennings and Kittle. Physical and big bodies, somebody will be somehow open and jump for that TD.
Deebo, Aiyuk, Taylor, Bourne, Hurd and Jennings. Those are six receivers. We need a 7th specially to fill for Deebo. Dante Pettis could have a chance to redeem himself, Richie James if he heals quickly, or Benjamin for a veteran presence. I'd add a surprise addition of Josh Gordon for a vets minimum as a possibility.
And I know some clueless clowns will say: "Those receivers don't scare anybody". That's fine, let teams not be scared of them and stack the box to focus on the run. That's what Kyle wants. When healthy, and if each of these guys do their job, they can torch every defense. Don't need superstars at the WR position. They are a luxury, not a need.

Guess who has the most career catches in our wr group? Bourne with 88.
Right there, thats a problem right there.

Deebo made more of an impact with his feet than his hands last season. Taylor an hurd are on ambulance watch. That leaves who exactly? Pettis? James? Kendrick b is our go to guy. Wanna know why we run 200 yards a game? Look no further.
Lol exactly . In Brodie's defense he admittedly did not watch games last year, but would then would start threads railing on how someone played the next day
Yeah, that makes sense now.

It's early, but as long as Pettis keeps up the good work, I still think he earns the "start" if Deebo isn't ready by week one. Aiyuk will get a lot of PT, but I think if Deebo is out in week 1, the lineup would be:
Starting X/Z: Pettis/Bourne
Rotating in: Aiyuk
Starting Y: Trent Taylor
Rotating in: Jauan Jennings
Deebo hasn't practiced at all yet and if he can't practice enough/get enough reps to do much in a game the first week, I don't know that they'd put him on the field.

Also in line with your starting lineup, recall how kyle likes to screw with the D, and use the X in Z , the Y in X , the Z in the backfield, which is why kyle likes multi use players. Suddenly the D sees our slot out wide and our Z in the backfield....and if nothing else they may be a bit hesitant as to WTF kyle is doing. And any hesitation is advantage us. It is just another one of kyle's OW uses of Au Jus, or kittle lined up as FB, etc. There may be only 52 cards in a deck (actually 53), but kyle can shuffle them around with the best of them.
And kyle is famous for pitting a WR/TE/RB against a defender who can't contain that one guy. If there is a mismatch out there kyle knows it and will shove it down their gullets.

At this point, Trent Taylor is as valueless as Pettis if not worse. Definitely not interested in bringing him back. Where tf is Sanu? Are we even using him? Aiyuk should be starting. Our starting lineup should be:
X: Aiyuk
Y: Bourne
Z: Deebo
Backups:
X: Pettis
Y: Sanu / Pettis / Taylor
Z: Pettis
Frankly, if James were healthy, I'd straight up trade or cut Taylor now. At least James can stretch the field.
X: Aiyuk
Y: Bourne
Z: Deebo

X: Pettis
Y: Sanu / Pettis / Taylor
Z: Pettis

Yeah Taylor has been a big disappoinment so far this year, he was never fast but was quick and shifty, seems like that quickness is gone now

With Sanu out, I think Pettis should be getting the reps as first guy rotating in, honestly. Taylor is completely useless unless schemed open. He can't beat anyone on the outside. It's just plain sorry. Pettis/James can replace him easily.
Clear-cut starters:
X: Aiyuk
Y: Bourne
Z: Deebo
Reserve/Rotation
X: Pettis/James
Y: Pettis/James/Taylor
Z: Pettis/James
In my opinion it should be this.

They used 8 draft picks in the past 3 years....smh. This team cannot evaluate OL or WR's.

This game showed what I was afraid of with both Deebo and Aiyuk, they both struggled from press at the LOS. Looks like defensive coordinators are taking away the quick slants between the numbers and I REALLY want to see what Jimmy and our wideouts can do without that

We need a big physical wr you can throw the ball too on the outside. Like Michael Gallup.

Deebo is physically bigger than Gallup(5-11, 215 lbs vs 6-1, 205 lbs).

The third WR spot is up for grabs coming into the 2021 season. Sanu, RJames, Hurd, JJennings, TBenjamin all will get a shot. I don't think Sherfield was signed to compete here and is more of a special teams player. Third WR doesn't necessarily mean the slot WR since it's possible that the third WR comes in and one of Deebo/Aiyuk moves to slot. Is the eventual third WR even on the roster at the moment? Who you got?
