I'll be the first to say that I was hoping for a Saleh upgrade (he alone really had the hot seat this year - imo). There are still head scratching tactics and plays called but obviously the defense is playing lights out right now.

Makes it always difficult to know...how much is it coaching and strategy vs sheer talent.

Talent on defense was upgraded and now look at the unit.

I'm happy with Saleh now but there were a lot of veteran upgrades over the past couple years. Given Saleh's own comments, it clearly sounds like Kocurek, Kiffin and Woods plus a massive infusion of talent has been the real difference today from the additions of W9, exotic timely blitzes to varied coverages over C3. That's not meant to take credit away from his growth and cohesion either. I like a lot of the blitzes he's bringing. I genuinely think LB's are more his unit and they're playing very well. Game plans very much seem like a full unit collaboration with Kyle constantly challenging it daily up until kickoff per Saleh's only words also. My biggest concern coming in was focus on fundamentals plus fusing 3 different systems together (W9, C3 and Woods) and he's done a great job of staying completely off hands and morphing this systems well together at the same time.

Updated, added Solly to my keepers list, he's playing really well. Also Moved Ward to undecided, he's playing really good, maybe Joe Woods is making a huge difference. We may not have many holes, just need a LT of the future, depth at OG(I'm good with Laken and Person combo).

I would imagine Mark Nzeocha will go back to playing SAM in base sets and slide Greenlaw over to WILL and bring up Elijah Lee since Kwon Alexander has been put on season-ending I.R.

Everybody keeps trying to wish Trent Taylor off the team. Unless his injury keeps him from coming back he is a virtual lock for next year. It is much easier for me to imagine Goodwin not making the team than Taylor. Goodwin has hardly been a factor at all this year and was a healthy scratch for the last game. I can't imagine any scenario under which Taylor would be inactive if was healthy enough to go.

How hard is Saleh right now?
