NFC West: San Francisco 49ers (3-0)
The NFC West is the second-toughest division currently (the NFC North is first, as measured by total win projections for the remaining schedule), and the Niners, who had a bye in Week 4, have yet to face a divisional opponent. It's a strong testament to their defense that they are 3-0 despite their offense committing eight total giveaways in three games (their 2.7 per game average is the highest in the NFL). Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has committed five total turnovers, with at least one coming in each game. It's very likely that the Niners' playoff hopes will rely on lower-probability wins from Thanksgiving to the end of the regular season (from Weeks 12 to 17, San Francisco is home against Green Bay, at Baltimore, at New Orleans, home against Atlanta, home against the Rams and at Seattle.

Also my list of players I'd keep for 2020. Total of 43 players, with very few UFAs Blair and AA, RFA Breida, ERFAs Mullens, Moseley, Wilson, Brunskill, Dwelley, and I outlined in the above article that we can afford to extend DeFo, Kittle, Juice, Spoon, Sherm, and extend AA and Blair, while having money for FAs and the Draft. I hope this puts to rest the trade talks, and people being calm about 2020, we're fine cap wise as long as we stick with our roster.

Nicely done, though I think AA could be brought back, I want him back on a LT deal.
Agree on Toilolo, re-sign for 1yr deal minimum. I'm kinda ready to move on from Trent Taylor, and add someone else, I just don't see him cracking the top 5 WRs.

Oh FYI Nick Williams is no longer on the team, he got an injury settlement.

I'm cool with AA too but they've invested a lot of Thomas and Street and they like Taylor and that 3rd round comp pick would be nice. It also opens up more snaps for a true W9 player too.
Toilolo is a damn stud in this system.
I was going back and forth on Trent Taylor esp. if Kyle ends up liking James and Hurd there.

Nick Bosa isn't on the keep list nor on the cut list. Is he retiring?

Seems like our needs are the same every year. We address a position and then we lose a guy to free agency or injury and we're back to square one.

That is the case for almost every team under the FA era. The team is in a much better shape, no question about that, so I disagree that we are back to square one. By default there is the draft to address a few needs, especially depths.
Ever since we lost Aldon Smith we had a need at edge rushers. We can finally say we don't need help at the edge other than depth (Ronald Blair will be an UFA).
We might finally have no need for at the CB positions (Sherman, Witherspoon, K Williams). We can add depth and strengthen the position, but essentially it is not a big need.
Depends on the progression of T Moore, we might also have no need for the safety position other than depth.
We also have no need at the LB, QB, FB, TE, K, P positions.
We are hoping our young receivers (Pettis and Samuels especially) can step up to a point in which we don't need to address our receiver position.
We are in a good shape.
