Always a tough decision for a fan. Do you hope for wins or hope for a better draft pick. I would love a top draft pick but getting 1 or 2 wins feels really demoralizing. Like we waited months for football just to see a lot of losses.
Fans had to realize that's what was gonna happen this yr (losing). I'm not saying we go 0-16, but who cares if we win 4 games if it's gonna cost us a possible game changing player? Like I meantioned earlier is anyone still talking about that Rams win from week 16 last yr now lol?
I will say I was rooting for a win last week (as I do every week) but I'm not gonna get all bent out of shape because of a lose this yr.
Teams don't tank in the NFL...they can't with the way players contracts and incentives are setup.
That Rams game was great way to start xmas eve. after all the months of losing it was great. it was great enough to send more people to the game after and had a great tailgate and game till the dreaded 2nd half
I'm glad you had a nice Christmas and tailgate because of the meaningless Rams win but we missed out on Garrett because of that win. Who knows how long it will take to get a premier pass rusher like that in the draft. It could take a decade.
When you have a losing record and are in need of a QB or pass rusher it's best to be in a great draft spot. Especially if you need a QB.
We need a QB. We have a losing record already and it's extremely unlikely we'll be making the playoffs.
I'll have a good Christmas this year if we're in a position to get one of the top QB's in this class or to trade our pick to a QB needy team (if we get QB via free agency)
Acting like people want to tank every year to build a team is disingenuous. We're specifically talking about this year and we don't have to tank. This was a 4 win season max either way.
A great QB can change a franchise. You're less likley to get one drafting in the 5-10 range.
