hows that? please tell me a reason why Kyle drafted him to be bad for his offense? tell me something kyle doesnt know.

he's a rookie with limited knowledge of the playbook. do the math. its not going to look good.

I guess we are miscommunicating. I read that cj is bad for this offense. My intsant reaction to that is why would Kyle have picked him if that were the case. Didnt know you meant this year. I believe in QB's sitting and learning

I am pretty sure it is not going to look good with any QB the 49ers have on the roster.

We already know Hoyer is damaged goods... no need to have CJ take unnecessary hits in a season where the 49ers can only hurt their draft position... Because they won't be going to the playoffs.

I really doubt Beathard will be our savior lol

So who will it be?

Kirk Cousins next season

Why, Because the NFL network said so?
Because Cousins said so

What did he say?

there has been multiple reports of him saying he would be a 49er in 2018 or how he wants to play for the niners. They were sources but Kirk has never denied it. But like someone brought up, it could of been his agent putting things out to gain leverage for a bigger contract. but i think he and Shannahan truly built a bond in their time in Washington. He knows Shannahan's system is his best fit

The Deadskins franchise tagged Cousins this year, and I don't see any reason for them not to franchise him again next year if they can't come to an agreement. I'm not saying the *will* franchise tag him, but saying that they *can* if they wanted to. So from that point of view, you can't base the offseason on what somebody else is going to do, you have to game plan on what *you* can do. What they can do is draft a good quality QB in this years 2018 QB derby and hope that BeatHard is ready next year to take over Hoyer if Hoyer is still stinking up the joint.

However, I am still holding out hope that Hoyer (once his O LIne gives him more time and he develops confidence in his O line) he'll perform better as a QB.

nah no way they franchise him and pay him $34.5 million. That is just too ridiculous of an amount. Even out of spite, just too much.

i would like to think beathard was the answer too but i am not going to put all my eggs into that basket. I really hope that we see beathard at some point in this season just to see what we have to work with.

Also, Hoyer is nothing more than a really good backup. Not going to be anyone that can lead us back to the SB. I wouldnt want to waste any more time of him after this season

Yeah, but maybe CJ just enjoys playing football. Maybe he won't live and die with every 3 and out. Or every dropped pass. Or every time he gets 1.7 seconds to huck the ball before some dude greets him in the lane and has eyes that say, I'm going to hurt you.

Maybe CJ enjoys playing so much that he has the ability to turn all that off and just fight for the adrenaline rush of victory. Like driving to the beach on a hot day. Some dudes just happily sit in traffic for 2 hours knowing they're headed to the beach.

This is what we must come to know. Soon.

I'm thinking Hoyer is just rusty and the fact that pretty much almost every player on the offense is brand new and never played for the 49ers before, is big factor in his sucking. I think all Kyle has to do is get some WR's to catch the balls thrown to them and you'll see the suckage decrease.

That said, Cousins had a decent last year and if he has another decent year I'm thinking (while not a guarantee) the odds are that they will come to an agreement is a higher probability than letting him go or trading him.

Nope. Not any time soon unless Hoyer completely craps the bed and starts throwing multiple TD's to the opposing team. Or Hoyer gets hurt. This year isn't worth rushing anything with Beathard.

Not gonna happen. If Hoyer is still stinking it up by game 8... maybe.
Buddy text me that Beathard is starting. Any truth to this?
For what it's worth, I saw this posted at an Iowa Hawkeye board. My guess is it is fake, and I think this is a fake news and funny site.
