I think so, but one can argue it was Kyle's input on BA that screwed things up.

The team needs to be better at deciding who to keep and who needs to be traded early for draft compensation.

I feel like Deebo and BA are examples of players they should have traded earlier for maximum compensation.

I would have preferred they traded Aiyuk… though not as a cost savings measure. I would have preferred his money be spent elsewhere on the roster.

That said, I don't want Paraag and by extension Jed making football decisions… regardless of whether I agree with them this time.

The 'right' guy isn't and hasn't been in the building. A true GM, with actual GM power and responsibility. Right now it's seemingly a job that's divided between the coach and the owner's right hand man primarily.

Is the dead cap now up to $90+m? I guess at some point somebody has to be responsible for the decisions that led to that. Maybe they were collectively responsible, maybe it was one individual.. does it matter? Something has to change because that is not a winning formula. Paying for something you no longer get value from when you have a fixed amount of money to spend and your needs exceed your means is not a good thing for a fan base that desperately wants to win it all. We could be waiting a long while…

Regardless, there was some disconnect with who wanted who.

I guess that's the problem when we don't really have a true GM calling the shots.

And I'm pretty sure Shanahan had all the power and was making all the personnel decisions up to this past offseason.

They continue to MESS UP. But tell me how Shany/Lynch are the only 2 people we can ever have and they will lead us to the promised land. Bust after bust in the draft. Traded three 1st rounders for Lance. Debacle Aiyuk deal.

If you can't see it by now I don't know what to tell you.
