I love it now Lynch said he was annoyed watching Brissett set an NFL record for completions last weekend and we couldn't get to him with our pressure.
Dude, this is the team he built. It's solely on him for drafting like garbage and then not improving the team at the trade deadline to add players who could have brought some pass rush.
He built it but I doubt he expected every pass rusher he brought in to get injured. Saleh and the D line coach share some of the blame as well.
Seriously. Love when some fans are so busy bashing the front office that they overlook simple things like that.
As if our pass rush literally didn't close out the first 2 games.
You also need to look at players that the Niners allowed to leave because they were asking more than the Niners wanted to pay. Some have done okay but others have done nothing with their new team. The Niners drafted Banks because his game film amd his workouts looked like a good fit for the team. e ended up just okay then started getting injured. They let him go and he was signed by the Packers (4 years $77 million) He's making about 29 mil this year. From what I've heard he's been a disappointment and certainly not worth nearly $30 mil.
I only brought his name up because he's an example of players that looked good in the draft, ended up being so-so and then were allowed to leave. I would say that even though he wasn't a great draft pick the decision to let him walk instead of signing him to a big contract was the right one. GMs need to draft well but they also need to cut bait when those picks don't work out. The NFL is constantly shifting monster with injuries, free agency, holdouts and free agents. My guess is quite a bit of time is spent behind the scenes trying to project what move to make next. Then someone goes down for the year and priorities suddenly shift. It's not as easy as many fans seem to think.
