No way they're throwing down $7M for WR right now. If they wanted him that bad they could have given up a 2023 6th rd pick and avoided the waiver.

Nope that didn't end up happening…they just got rid of his last two yrs of his deal (which weren't GTD anyway).
they didn't do anything outside of cutting him earlier then they were gonna. No one is gonna cough up $7M for a waiver claim in week 9. He will end up choosing where he wants to go for the rest of the yr.

no team is gonna let Cleveland not have to pay OBJ. They're not gonna give someone $7M if they don't think he wants to be there either.
