Not many would tell that man to "bleep" off.

Exactly! The so called experts can study and give their best opinion on a kid coming out but they will "NEVER" be able to measure the kids heart & determination to succeed.
Those who can't do, teach. Those who can't teach, become analysts. Those who can't be analysts, become hack journalists and critics. Substitute coach for teach. Anytime one of these so called "draft experts" opens their pie hole I tune them out. If they were such experts they'd be employed by an NFL team instead of just running their mouth from outside the sport.
You let anyone talk for long enough time and they will say some stupid s**t.

He may not have told him to F-off, but trading Mays for a six-pack of Old Milwaukee and a Snickers bar had to be embarrassing for Sing.

I wanted Quinn, but was happy with Aldon.
Well, this is why he works for CBS and not a FO of an NFL team.

Time will tell but Smith, to this point, is looking like a solid pick.

EDIT: He apparently feels that the Nines will go to the NFCCG and lose to the Packers (based upon the way he has the last four spots seeded out):

Make no mistake about it, he hasn't played as well as Aldon or Von Miller but Quinn has looked good in limited play this season. He's got 5 sacks after a whole year away from football. Personally I think Rang was being goofy not because Aldon is that much better of a talent than Quinn but that Aldon is more versatile and fits into the 49ers system much better. Quinn is strictly a 4-3 player, period. I think after a couple of years we can judge who is actually the best, but I wanted Aldon over Quinn from the get-go. Just a more explosive talent with better potential. Ultimately I think both teams got good players.

Back in April, The draft 'guru' Rob Rang shared his insights on the possible development of Robert QUinn and Aldon Smith. I guess i overlooked this because its already winter time and I'm just now reading these quotes. Anyways, I thought I'd share this with any others who may also find this interesting...Rob rang said the following after the 2011 draft ended.

"I would have taken Gabbert and potentially Robert Quinn over Aldon Smith at seven," Rang said. Quinn went to St. Louis at No. 14. "To have Chris Long on one side as your base end and then have Robert Quinn's explosiveness on the other side, I mean, he reminds me a little bit of Leonard Little, but bigger," Rang said.

"You watch, Robert Quinn is going to be a better player for the Rams at 14 than Aldon Smith will be for the 49ers at seven."

I wonder if Rang is starting to feel like an idiot now.

OK...this has been driving me nuts. I've seen about 3 different articles about Smith using that above picture.

Thats NOT Aldon Smith. Its Navorro Bowman.

Yeah, but the pick is horrible. He has us taking a WR without speed.

Yeah, the Niners don't have enough of those. If they are going to take a WR, they'll take someone who can take the lid off the D.

Arms too short
Too early to tell. Both could be very good players.

Aldon is playing well for us and that's all that should matter. Hopefully he continues to improve. I liked Robert Quinn a lot so it sucked to see him go to St Louis. Quinn does have like 6 sacks so it's not like he's a terrible player for the Rams.
