Yep. I wanted Amukamara but now I'm ecstatic that we got Aldon.

there are plenty of people who have said that they were totally wrong on Davis/Mays/Rachal, etc. All they said was wow, we were totally wrong on this guy. He sucks. And then they move on. You know why you haven't seen it??? Because they're low key about it and just admit it and move on. We don't expect essays from you claiming that you were wrong. Hell, we don't even expect you to claim you were wrong.

Rather, people would prefer that you not always talk about how right you are, in light of the fact that you're often wrong about many other players/things. Not that there's anything bad about being proven wrong, especially since I think you often give good analysis/reasoning behind your posts.

The people who are stand up, and state they were totally wrong are not people who post ridiculous comments that I critique. That is a totally different crowd than the "Aha" group, because they know that people are not perfect. The "Aha" crowd always runs away like cockroaches when they are proven wrong, then re-emerge after their three legged pony at 99-1 odds wins.

The rational people on the board can understand why I originally gave Smith a "C" grade after the draft due to better players on the board. The others take it as one of the great offenses in modern history, then make up stories about how I "hated" Smith, or graded Quinn better (which I didn't).

lulz sound like u mad.

listen, you went on and on about how this was a bad pick for us and there were better guys out there. i get that the draft is a crapshoot. i mean look at chris culliver vs. patrick peterson (you also had a 6th or 7th round grade on culliver at CB). so no one is saying that you have to get 100% correct.

but if you're going to go to all this effort and walk around high and mighty with your draft predictions then you're going to have to eat some crow when you are wrong. aldon smith is a great pick at #7 and he has produced. now you can throw out whatever garbage about one trick pony, he's only playing DE, he's only on the field rushing the passer, etc. you can use whatever excuse you want for his success but the bottom line is he has had a really good rookie season and you were wrong. you were wrong about gabbert. you were wrong about a lot of guys and that's nothing to be ashamed of as long as you come out and say "damn you know what i was wrong".

pretty sure everyone has opinions about guys coming into the draft, but not everyone puts their opinions out there in a very matter-of-fact type manner. those that do need to own up when they are proven wrong about a guy!

Most of people wanted Amukamara but better A.peterson was better than Amukamara.. I thought that he was best the CB But He seem played ok and he was best skillfull at SP and KP than CB.. I don't want Amukamara cuz i made right! I am happy that we have C.Rogers #22 that he is better than A.Peterson and Amukamara! Whooo!! I told you.. CB was not worth for first round!! I said better the CB for middle likes 3 round to 7 round than first round cb
Hey MadDog will Aldon get 20 sacks this year?

UMADDOG??

lol sorry, couldn't resist.
For the MadDog, from the Bard:

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks."
Seriously, though. The MadDog knows his football. In my opinion, his opinions are well-informed. Nobody has to apologize for a prediction. I liked the pick myself because Aldon Smith looked like a freak to me and this league is all about freaks. I really like the kid. That stunt he pulled after his second sack last Sunday was priceless. At the time, I really didn't understand why people would complain about the Smith pick. The team needed a shutdown corner or a pass rusher. They've gotten a very good corner in Rogers and Smith is an excellent pass rusher. And, he'll only get better. I think he could become their best pass rusher since Fred Dean.

But, really, I pay more attention to the MadDog than I do to Rob Rang. Rob Rang has that ESPN disease.
God why argue? Who the f**k cares? Big f**king deal he wasn't perfect on the analysis! So was 90 percent of the board. Chill out, f**king internet stalkers lol.
Always liked Watt as well as Aldon. Never wanted Gabbert, I think he will be garbage.

Quinn wise I was concerned with health issues, and Amukamara was passed by a bunch of teams, so no biggie there.

We werent getting Peterson, and I loved the Aldon pick, i had him in the 12 range, so really wasnt a reach.
Drafting is more black art than exact science.

Even the best GMs and pro scouts make mistakes... Draft pundits are no different.

I for one really enjoy MadDog'a analysis, not because I expect him to be right all the time, but because it is highly informative. That's all that really maters. You can't really predict how a rookie will respond to his NFL situation.

I know one thing, Matt Maiocco has never asked me for my opinion on the draft... (or was that Barrows)
