Jamarcus Russel written all over him.

He bails out EVERY TIME there's pressure. He get's lucky on a few where his tight end squeeks free. I mean, in a real game situation all teams would have to do is blitz and take away Vernon Davis.

He is WAY too raw to play in the NFL right now
I like his mobility and the strength of his arm. He seems somewhat accurate, but he seems pretty raw. I think with some time, he could develop into at LEAST a good back-up QB (which is a NECESSITY in the league).

Can he be a starter? No idea, but I hope he develops to the point where he can at least challenge.

LOL. Did you watch the preseason last year?

With the risk they are taking on Alex this season I have full confidence that they love this kid and you can see why. If Alex tanks Nate will get his shot. I think this kid is a baller.

I completely agree. The kid has pretty good accuracy, throws a nice tight spiral for recievers to catch, can throw the deep ball, and has mobility.
My take from that video is that he had some potential, but is VERY raw and not ready to start. A lot of those throws that looks really spectacular and tight in space are against 3rd stringers, and would be interceptions against starters.

I like what I see, but I think we should let him develop and learn the entire playbook before throwing him into the fire.

Did you guys forget that he barely made the roster. Haurd deserved the spot but the Niners decided to go younger. Hes a bum at this point. Let him learn mechanics first.

Nate had the best QB rating of all of the team's QBs during the preseason. He definitely has the best arm and is more accurate. But unsubstantiated claims like yours fall way more towards opinion than fact.

He played against guys who were cut or were put on the practice squad of there respective teams. Smith and Hill took turns against First string defenses and guys fighting for a roster spot. So I guess you want the MVP of one of those indoor football leagues....I bet his stats are great.

You obviously have no clue what you're talking about...

Ok so Davis doesnt have terrible mechanics for an NFL QB? Do you not remember the 9er going to put him on the PS but didnt want to leave him unprotected so they dropped Haurd. Theres a bunch of athletic young strong armed QBs sitting on benches for teams. Let them learn the game first on the bench and running a practice squad offense.

Your calling me a dumb ass when your first sentence is incoherent, and your second is false?

Please, Alex played against third stringer as well. Plus, While Alex had some first stringer playing WITH him, Nate did not. Moreover, Alex shared practice time with the starters while Nate got very little practice time; so all in all, that whole argument regarding who was on the field is pretty weak. Bottom line is that Nate's arm and accuracy is CLEARLY the best on the team.
