It's up to individual football fans to decide what is important to them. ... I've learned over the years that I do not need the NFLthat badly.

No Netflix, no ESPN, no NFLN, and I don't need to get them just so I can watch an NFL game.

I love the 49ers, but I am not getting Netflix so I can watch the first game of the season.

The NFL opted to place their games on platforms that I don't need or want. ... So long NFL.

So apparently Deshaun Watson is firmly in the mix to be QB1 for the Browns and Jacoby Brissett seems to be holding out with the Cardinals, why? These teams have absolutely no f**king idea what the hell they're doing.

The only "Prime Time" Game in 1981 was MNF. SNF wasn't a thing yet. To get on MNF was a big deal in 1981. It was the only game in town. The 49ers were not on the MNF schedule. Imagine that? The team that won the Super Bowl was not anywhere near prime time. You see how this can backfire.

Some DL on the Giants who was supposedly replacing Dexter Lawrence just tore his Achilles in OTA not even training camp, that's no contact in T-shirts and shorts. The idea that we're constantly the most injury riddled team is baloney. Hopefully people will stay healthy in OTA's knock on wood. Any type of injury can happen whether it's no-contact, on air OTAs TC or a game.

All home games are required to be televised on local TV-right? I'm more likely to travel when the niners are in prime time and all hotels have espn. The other networks? I'm not gonna stay in a 5 star hotel or drink for 3 hours in a sports bar to watch a game. Let's just say my travel plans coincide with the schedule release. If the 49ers play a 1pm game at home one can visit the city of the visiting team.

MNF was a big deal back then. Bars would offer free hot dogs, tacos and snacks. They would show the games on a crappy big screen. It wasn't such a big deal on the east coast since games started at 8:15. Plus they had Howard Cosell. The man people loved or hated but was always talked about.
