We should totally do this, try and keep the 2 this year but bump it up somewhere else, he would single handedly make our dline uber scary again, Bosa would feast.

I've been saying #11 overall, 2026 2nd and
an extra mid round pick somewhere could probably get it done but Browns fans and some people on here insist it'll take three 1sts

It may take three 1sts… if you're the Lions or Commanders and are picking #28 or #29. Our #11
overall helps move the mountain for us if we really want to do this.

I would do that trade in a heartbeat.

Picking that number 11, we could end up with another Solomon Thomas or Javon Kinlaw. I would rather have a proven all pro player over a rookie risk. Not to mention, he could wind up with the Chiefs, Rams, or some other team that is contending for a Super Bowl if we don't grab him.

Agreed. Lambs have a young up n coming D...don't want him with a rival. Imagine him on a Spagnuolo defense with Chris Jones

I hope he's with us or no one we have to face next year
Fred Warner hinted he'd take a pay cut to help pay for Myles to get here! Even said "I'd take less money, and take a Super Bowl in return!".

It's crazy to me that he's publicly saying this. I know our FO will probably be like "oh no no it's okay we stand by you as our player!" but if I were them I would seriously consider it if it makes it all work…

I wouldn't give up tons of picks for this anyway. This team needs to get younger and more healthy. The Browns will want too much. He will want a new long term big contract. Just stay put and pick.

Who cares if he is 30? He has missed two games over the past 4 years and has 60 sacks over that span. The dude is a physical specimen and will be an All-Pro for 4-5 more years which is what we may get out of the 11th overall pick.

People comparing this to Trey Lance are way off. We traded those picks for an UNKNOWN whereas Garrett is arguably the best defensive player in the league.

The SB is in Santa Clara this year, we have a cake walk schedule and tonnes of cap space. Now is the time to do the deal.

Go win a SB and worry about the rest later.

Sounded like he tried to rope Kittle into doing so as well.

I think that was a message to Garrett as much as it was to the front office, telling him "Hey a Super Bowl is more important than money to ME too!".

I think a lot of people would take a pay cut for a player that gives a legitimate Super Bowl run we've been looking for the thunder to match bosas lightning for far too long. This isn't a 1 year all in either we'd have him paired with Bosa for 3+ yrs

Hopefully Garrett took notice of Hutchinson's comments and took the Lions off his wish list. Hutchinson when asked about getting Garrett he said "I don't know, you can't have that many guys on the Dline"

Very odd comments when it comes to the best DE in the league. I don't know if he was just trying to stick up for his teammates on the Lions Dline or if he is worried about being overshadowed by Garrett. But still I found it abit odd and he has gotten some heat from a Lions radio host.
I think giving up 2 first guarantees we get him
Last night showed why we should pursue him.

It showed why pass rush is integral, but more importantly it showed that you have to be able to come in waves with multiple bodies across the entire line. It wasn't just one or two guys getting after Mahomes. It was Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, Jordan Davis, Jalyx Hunt, Brandon Graham--all of whom were DRAFTED by the Eagles.

The 49ers DL group is depleted. It isn't one player--or hell even two or three players--away from wrecking games. It needs a lot of bodies which includes a few starters and a ton of depth. Outside of Nick Bosa, there is LITERALLY nothing. Not a single talented young player and zero depth. When you're this top heavy, an injury is devastating and derails the season, which is exactly what happened to the 2024 49ers' season to the entire roster. Hence why it's better to have a strong group made up with many bodies than a group that is top heavy group carried by a few individuals. There's no room for inevitable injuries when you're depending on a few individuals. Imagine the 49ers trade for Myles Garrett, and he rolls his ankle in camp or tweaks his knee. There goes the entire pass rush because of all the resources it took to acquire him that also took away from the rest of the roster. Trading away what it would require to acquire him would be an insanely idiotic move.

The 49ers need to gather themselves and get back to the basics of roster building--invest in the trenches and draft well. They just had a really good draft. There's no reason they can't have another.

this expresses where i am at 100%
we have the coaching on DL and DC, it relies on AGNB, you need a rotation

Interesting... I wonder if any reporters bothered to ask Bosa of his thoughts (if any)

Trading for Garrett would be like getting Deion in 1994.
