Garrett will almost certainly get a $36M/yr extension, it's just a matter of how many years and structure (he's signed for 2025 and 2026 already as it is).

I was thinking about this he obviously wants to get paid but he might be flexible and not strong arm as much as he can get

Everybody wants to win. Where does that say Crosby wanted to leave

So Myles Garrett requested a meeting with Browns owner Jimmy Haslam to discuss his trade request and Haslam REFUSED to meet with him?

Nah. You don't get to skip a level just because you're unhappy. Owner gave GM the power to make decisions and that's what he's doing. Good on the owner for maintaining the chain of command. And a clear message to the player. Browns don't care if he's happy. They own his football life for the next two years. Garrett gave them that power when he signed the contract. If he wants to sit out 10 games and sleep walk through the last 7 to accrue the year, that's fine. The Browns want to tank. So, please, by all means, sit out and don't get paid.

It's never about winning.
No player in the history NFL cares about winning more than money. Don't ever get it twisted.

I agree. Maybe a few unicorns but the contract is the trophy.

Talk is cheap. He handcuffed the hell out of that team. Browns never learn.

They love the big contracts, but deserved. With that said, as good as Garrett is, that contract is insane.
