We have pick #11. That's something a lot of the contenders don't have. We had a massive off-year and this is where it pays off. The difference between #11 and #24 or later is a lot.

#11 with a future 2nd and another pick would be hard for the Browns to refuse.

We don't know what the Browns would want in exchange. We don't even know if they'll trade him.

Common sense says they're not going to want players. They're going to want picks. If they trade Garrett they're not going to want more salaries. The Watson contract is enough of a headache already and the only thing they can do is wait 2-3 years for it to run out. Picks is the only thing of any value to Cleveland, if they trade Garrett.

Since when did the Browns use common sense? In any case if they decide to comply with Garrett's request they may ask for too much. We don't know yet. If th Niners can get hm without giving up too much then great. If the Browns want multiple ones plus other picks then forget it.

This is why I don't think other contenders are in the running. I'm looking at us, Dallas, and Miami if I am Cleveland. And I want a Herschel Walker-lite package.

According to some Browns beat writer the trade conversation starts with minimum of 3 1st's. No way 9ers do that or anyone.

browns have a beat writer?
Two 1s would still be tempting, assuming next year's is in the 30s

Rams did that to get their SB

Would you trade Purdy, 2025 3rd rd compensatory & 2026 2nd rd pick for Garrett?
Might sound crazy but it would give Cleveland a new face of the franchise QB, who would be cheap enough over the next few seasons, if they backloaded his extension, to be able to ride out the rest of Watson contract and still be competitive.
Niners can go get Cousins on a 2 year 15m per deal and look to draft a developmental QB.

Then you'll be the Cleveland Browns looking for a QB again. No thanks.

1. Cousins isn't a fa, so we'd have to trade for him. His contract is expensive

2. If the falcons were to cut him, I 10000% guarantee he would not be signing for $15m/yr. Maybe there's some falcons offset but a team would have to pay him more

3. Did you see Kirk cousins last year with an absolutely stacked offense? Great OL, plenty of skill position guys.... He looked like s**t

4. Purdy is a good, young QB

So, no

no, but if it somehow came down to that I'd rather go after Rodgers.

Def not happening with us, if that's the case.

although our first round pick is higher - so we could trade our first and a few other picks that equals "similar" value as two 1s but not three. I would love Myles but not for that much.

dallas and Miami have higher picks this year so it would be tough of compete with them but Myles would probably prefer Dallas near his family
