Your question was answered before you asked it. Again, "reading is fundamental". In regards to Frank Gore Jr and Brenden Rice, this thread isn't about them. It's about Shedeur Sanders, who I now think you have a "silly bias" against.
Didn't you predict Shadeur would get cut?
It wasn't really a prediction, per se. It was more of a desire, admittedly. My reason for that was, if the Brows were gonna go with 4 QB's then why not just cut him. He would have been better off being cut. (Given how this has played out I think he would have been better off going undrafted.) This was me leaning into the critics narrative. He isn't that good (according to the critics), he's a 5th round pick, he's 4th of the QB depth chart (at that time), and he was bad in the preseason finale. In any normal roster situation Shadeur would be cut and brought back on the PS if he cleared waivers. Would you agree with that?
For me, keeping 4 QB's on the active roster (which was widely reported that the Browns were going to do) would have effectively buried Shadeur on the roster and all but guaranteed that he'll never see the field. This would have done nothing but further fueled the conspiracy narrative (which I unapologetically believe) because, frankly, why are you keeping 4 QB's on the active roster if not to bury Shadeur. So the way I saw it, it would've been best to just cut him so truly QB needy team could pick him up and give him an honest chance to play. My bet is that he would have
not cleared waivers, which many like myself believe that would've been the reason for carrying 4 QB's on the active roster. But since Pickett was traded it makes Shadeur QB3 with a real chance (likelihood) that he'd see the field this year.
Shadeur is really better than Dillon. And by Shadeur being QB3, on the Browns, with that brutal schedule, almost guarantees Shadeur will see the field at some point this season to show that he
is better than Dillon. And this time he won't be sabotaged by Home Depot and Target workers.
