gotta throw your way back into the game, or try to

looking at JG he has 72 in 57 starts
Darnold has 55 starts

so it's maybe 18 TO difference maybe additional .32 turnovers per game, and you see the difference between our guy in our situation, and a guy with a bad situation, KS will help get that number down here, no question.. look at Alex turnovers as soon as JH got here, he turned it around so hard he darn near led the NFL. Do you not believe in KS or our team to help with these numbers?

Yeah you're right he has absolutely nothing to do when it comes to throwing the ball at the other team or fumbling the ball lol.

Quit trying so hard.

this isn't MLB it's not you by yourself on the mound, with no other variables, you know this
look at Geno, a bust in NYJ, and a $100m man in SEA, cuz he has Lockett, DK, K9, HOF coach, etc.
you act like KS doesn't matter, or that Kittle, Deebo, BA, Trent, CMC all that is irrelevant..
it's a far better situation here so Sam will play much better, his best ball, imo
and if not, no harm no foul, we move on, it's a one year deal, I view it as low risk, high reward

f**king stop it. Yeah but not having Kittle/CMC/Mitchell and the rest of the team playing like junk can't apply to Lance. You're such a hypocrite.

s**tty Sam has had 5 YEARS. Not 100 random passing attempts to prove he's worth anything. He's played on multiple teams and been benched multiple times. He continues to turnover the ball wherever he goes. He has not problem tossing picks his last yr at USC. It's who he is

He's a backup QB. He has no business starting games here. Even you made jokes about the signing the moment it happened. Quit being a homer for two secs

He's a backup and has no business being talked about like he is…it's ridiculous. Let the guy you invested the farm for play. At least there's upside there. He's not fully broken like Sam yet.

NY, you are missing the point. You don't let TL play. Unless he earns the right. Go and earn it. Sam is gonna go for it just like TL. You or I don't know the outcome of that right now, but Sam has a great shot imo.

this idea of building a world champ roster and handing the keys to drive the thing to a guy who doesn't earn that right is stupid
let the best guy play
NY, I really think you will change your tune once we get Kyle and Sam together on the prax field there will be a dynamic there you aren't seeing right now

Kyle has wanted this dude for years

You're missing the pt. Sam sucks…there's YEARS of him being awful. Period.

sam has had his chance to start and improve. Next your gonna tell me Josh Rosen should have a chance….

they just handed the keys to a rookie kicker who might have to make some f**king important FGs in the playoffs. He's not competing for s**t regardless of the other dude being on the roster. So save me the compete s**t. Who's Colton competing with at RT? A bunch of nothing.

sam has ZERO business taking any starter reps. He's a backup in the NFL at this point.

No one knows if you are right, NY is right, or the truth will be somewhere in the middle.

What I do wholeheartedly agree with him about though is the fact that you and many others are using this "give him a chance" type comment and you guys are not affording that same chance to Trey Lance. Obviously Kyle really wanted Lance or they wouldnt have done what they did.

Who are these ppl? I just posted in the TL thread he can have a good summer and be a new guy. Check the post.
TL still under contract, we ain't given up on jack, it's a comp, meaning both will have opportunities this summer to show what they can do and how they can help our club.

You will know when we have given up on him, he will no longer be on roster. Same with Sam. No one cares about the cost anymore, it's what can you do to help this team win football games.

does this sound like we have given up on TL?
that's now what the Darnold signing is about, it's about giving comp at the most important spot, if BP is out

Agreed

also what I'm saying is already true. Sam thus far as stunk in the NFL. He hasn't improved and it's not like he's getting a random start here or there. Even his geno crap comp doesn't hold water. Geno had like 29 (2013-2014)starts right off the bat then next to nothing until last yr. Outside of either being hurt or getting flat out benched, Sam has started every single yr he's played….and stunk for the majority of it.

also I'm not saying Sam might not play his best football here…that doesn't mean he's all of a sudden good. Kyle will call plays to his benefit. He's still gonna find ways to turn the ball over and lose us games. It's what he does. Then what you basically did said f**k offLance….after 100 passing attempts? One of the biggest qb developmental malpractices I've ever seen if it goes like that…Just so we can "give Sam a chance"? Give me a break.

Why is this idea so controversial in here? It's strange.

I'm actually on record that we wouldn't trade TL, he's a 49er and the team has in no way given up on him, nor have I, he will be afforded every opportunity to win the job.

Why do you say I am not giving TL a chance? I have no preference, other than someone actually steps up and plays QB1 well. I can say he's not done well to this point and that he can be a new guy going forward. He's 22 (23 yrs old tomorrow )

ppl put developing one man > the team success

the reality is if the guys is A GUY, he will show it all summer, you don't need to hand it to him, he will go out and take it

Why is the idea of letting the guy you invested a ton in play so strange? Why is he a "bust" after 100 random passing attempts, yet 56 starts and almost 1,800 passing attempts equals "he just needs a chance" ? It's hypocritical as s**t.

If SF was never gonna "let Lance play" then they should never draft a young QB ever again. Plain and simple.
