WHOA DERE jordan. Kyle was high on Beat hard, Gabbert, Jimmy , etc. Pump the brakes a bit before we go all in.
I get it but come on, there's a big talent disparity between Darnold and guys like Gabbert and Beathard.
Not really...
Oh ok
I sure hope I'm wrong but he's a career bust just like Gabbert. Dude was 34th in the league in completion percentage. He's never accomplished s**t and could only get a 1 year deal. Lol this board is funny. Trey sucks but a career bust is top of the line...(slight sarcasm but kind of not )
Trey sucks?
I was
at some on this board. How they are quick to call out a guy that has 4 games but are all over a guy that is a legit proven bust. I just find it funny that people think that guy whose been sub par every place he's gone can improve magically but apparently a guy with 4 games can't.
While I don't agree with people who are saying Trey "sucks" or is a "bust," I do think that Darnold's skillset is more "ready" for this team and Kyle's offense than Trey's. Trey is still very raw and we just don't know what type of QB he's going to be. For a Super Bowl ready team, patience for a young QB is low on the list of priorities. I would not be surprised if Darnold ended up starting over Trey if Purdy isn't ready to go. That said, if Purdy isn't ready to start the season, I'd REALLY like to see Trey get 4-6 straight starts to see what he can do. And hopefully Kyle calls the same offense that he did for Jimmy and Purdy, and not use Trey as a battering ram like he did last season.
