WTF are you talking about? At this stage with KNOW Sam blows. Almost 1 to 1 TD/INT ratio. Blow 60% comp. Career 78 QB rating. As a starter he's been one of the worst QBs in the league. That's ALL we know right now.

ya'll are f**king ridiculous. We know Lance stinks because we have 100 passing attempts BUT Sam is better because we have 55 starts 1,800 passing attempts of him stinking…give me a break.

When he plays with confidence. The beat writers have suggested he's been too cautious in camp. He wasn't during the last game though. If he plays like that, except no dumb passes, then he can be a very good QB.

Good throws, and one of the sneaky plays I liked was him pressured right up the middle. He jukes the guy, rolls to his left, keeps eyes downfield for anywhere to put the ball, keeps rolling and throws out of bounds. So he avoided the rusher, and the negative play, and actually bought our guys some time to get open. We see BP does this also. I think Sam moves pretty darn well. That was a nice play but he also later took a huge chance on that throw where he tried to sneak the ball right by a defender into a super small window. It fell incomplete but those are the kind of throws that have led to his TOs.

Shanahan has said he encourages his QBs to take some shots in practice and PS games to get a better feel for what can and cannot work...or words to that effect.

Yea, I mean I agree with that mindset. Let the QBs try more aggressive and risky throws during the preseason and TC to see what they can and can't get away with. But I think with Darnold and his history of TOs, I really don't think he gets the benefit of the doubt until he proves otherwise.

After watching that clip I don't see anything spectacular about his arm talent at all. It's a bunch of scrubs out there on the field

Funny thing is based on all reports, he is very good in pass pro. Its Mason who is garbage at it.

Looks like they are starting with Sam for the 1st half with Den, Guess Trey is Trey-lin behind. Will it be Sam and Allen & bench Trey? 🍿

Unless they gat better performance out of the OLine - it won't matter who 9is under center.

Imo, we have matchup wins, Kittle is open, and BA is cooking his matchup every snap. Then you have Deebo, and CMC is one of the great matchup wins in football on pass downs. How do you even defend him on pass downs, with a LB? Good luck. So if all these guys are open, as JTO says, 'WAO' .. then we don't have to eat sacks. You often get sacks and TOs when no one is open, and the OL is poor (like Sam in NYJ for instance). That is why I am of the opinion, that he won't get sacked or turn the ball over here, like he used to.
