That Ian Rappoport tweet a week or so ago might as well have been written by John Lynch it was that transparent.
By that reasoning the only player on the roster who is untouchable imo is Bosa. There is nobody who can fill his shoes.
Everyone else could be traded if the offer was THAT ridiculous.
Nobody was offering anything ridiculous for Lance therefore almost everyone understood he wasnt being traded. It made no sense at this time.
The main reasons it's not as attractive to trade him last week are the Cap hit (makes more sense to trade him later) and Brock's injury uncertainty.
Obviously the attractiveness of trading him before the Draft is the ability to turn that into picks/players for this season.
There's a bit of a difference between Bosa (where Lynch said don't bother calling at the pre-Draft press conference) and Lance where they were trying to drum up interest in Lance.
Throw in the Darnold signing and the writing is on the wall for Lance. It feels like last chance saloon this offseason for Trey.
