Which one is the long shot?

There's no guarantees a 46 year old qb doesn't fall off a cliff either.

As Kyle would say, "there is a pecking order". That will be adhered to until further notice

You should probably look at the context of that quote, lol.

there's not but the odds are slightly better.. all it takes is a non-experienced QB to not know where reddick is again in the 2023 playoffs .. but Brady for sure will know where he is and call him out at the Line

if we can't find a trade partner for Lunch Trey he is just going to be an OTA and camp arm to keep the seat warm for Big Cock Brock... however, Brock's injury will drive up the trade value for TL from a day 3 pick to possibly a day 2 pick...

Brady will be retiring this year and he will be calling Gisele at the line at checkout asking her to reconsider her relationship status. Dude is as old as me and Baldy put it best. "Football is a young man's game!"

Oh you so desperately wish

You must be Purdy drunk to think like that!

I know exactly what I'm referencing which is why I offered it up. This was his retort when asked about PT between Sermon and Eli Mitchell but I thought it appropriate to apply here

I'm aware of the quote as well, which is why I think it's funny you offered it considering it supports my point.

He was saying the higher drafted running back (Sermon) was making progress, but the lower drafted running back (Mitchell) had established himself as the starter and primary ball carrier.

Progress wasn't enough to unseat the established player, regardless of draft position.

https://www.49erswebzone.com/articles/152807-49ers-coach-shanahan-sermon-improving-there-pecking-order/

"I think he's better now than when he was given the last opportunity," Shanahan said of Sermon. "I know I get these questions about Trey a lot. He's been doing it each week. He's been earning stuff and improving each week, but there is a pecking order with backs. You can only give so many guys the ball.

"Elijah has kind of solidified himself as our starter this year. Jeff Wilson has done it since he's been here. And [JaMycal Hasty] being on the bench, and then Elijah getting hurt this week, opened up an opportunity for him to get some reps again. And I thought he came in and showed what he's been showing in practice. He's been getting better, and I thought he did a good job helping us win on Sunday."

Three firsts man! There's no comparison. Trey would have to be stinking up the joint completely to relinquish his job by mid season which is likely what we're talking about if we're going to reinstall Brock as QB1

I mean Mitchell was starting over a healthy Sermon. Exactly when has Purdy started over a healthy Trey? RB and QB is handled completely different than you may think

I don't even know why we're anticipating Trey sucking it up or one of he or Brock making progress this upcoming season?

Why is that? Please do tell?

It was your quote, not mine. It doesn't support your point. You're now explaining why the quoted situation is different from the QB situation. Don't use the quote next time, lol.

Beyond that you seem to want argue against points I'm not making, and I honestly can't make sense of the 3rd line of your post.

keep for back up role/

It would be interesting if he came back different either less weight to add speed or more weight to lean into the power stuff. Hard to be pounding the weight room like a maniac tho when his foot has been jacked all year. Hurts is an example of a QB who has extreme power can run over ppl. The rush TDs speak for themselves. He's got time all offseason to get his body and game right.

Maybe, he picked up some of Brocks game watching from the sidelines.

Hopefully he hasn't considering that Purdy's game lead us to one of the worst NFC Championship losses in franchise history.

this post deserves to be reportable.

He didn't attack anyone so it's all good. Smh...
