I think Trey will be fine this year as long as hes healthy and can play the full year.

Is he going to have a legit chance at the job or is he just keeping it warm until Brock is ready?

IMO, legit chance at the job.

It's his job to lose at this moment imo.

Wow, even when Brock is ready to go?
If Brock were healthy it would undoubtedly be his job to lose.

Does anyone think Trey is going to come back and look any different than he has in his small sample of starting games. He cant run KS offense so he'll keep running till he gets hurt.

keep for back up role/

It would be interesting if he came back different either less weight to add speed or more weight to lean into the power stuff. Hard to be pounding the weight room like a maniac tho when his foot has been jacked all year. Hurts is an example of a QB who has extreme power can run over ppl. The rush TDs speak for themselves. He's got time all offseason to get his body and game right.

Maybe, he picked up some of Brocks game watching from the sidelines.

Hopefully he hasn't considering that Purdy's game lead us to one of the worst NFC Championship losses in franchise history.

Welcome to ignore, dumbass. Been a long time coming, but you've earned it.
Yeah hes quite the douche bag isn't he why his act is tolerated around here is beyond me hes the Skip Bayless of the webzone.

Some are here just to troll. Don't get baited into a warning.

At least Skip owns his bias and takes his beatings when he's wrong. I'll take the warning / time out / ban. It's an indictment of this forum's approach to moderating the community.
I can't argue with that.

Agreed.

Well I am obviously in the minority but I am just as invested in the future of this team as I am in the present. Which is why I am still so big on wanting them to develop Trey. I want this team to be very good for the next decade. Not just the next year or two. But fans are so desperate for that 6th SB that they don't care at all about the future. And the thing is going all-in to try and get that SB still doesn't guarantee you are going to win it.

And it sabotages the plan as Kyle and Lynch drew up which never included Tom Brady

Treys job to lose as he's getting all the reps this summer

Yeah, how could he not? Purdy was given an opportunity due to Trey's injury and absolutely made the most of it. Why shouldn't the same opportunity be given to Trey? In the end, whichever way it goes, we will have a FQB to show for it.

If Trey a showing progress then Trey is the starter and Brock is the backup as they were drafted to be

If "if" were a 5th, we'd all be drunk!"

I'm hoping two plus I hope we draft another good one to develop in the late rounds

Yea I don't know if showing progress would be enough. He'd have to show that he's a better player than what we saw from Purdy this season and/or Purdy would have to show he's not the same player after the injury.

Completely agree, and I bet the team does as well. We have a decent sample size from Purdy, but not big enough to commit. Trey will be given a chance and if he fails or is injured, we have a good idea what Brock has and it's pretty damn good. Great place to be!
