Yeah and none of that matters if the QB misses the read and no one is open because of it. Makes everyone look bad including the OL. Jimmy did this a bunch in the NFCC

Please elaborate on how a quarterback makes an offensive line look bad. The only way I can think of is by holding the ball too long.

Thanks NY. If Jimmy makes the plays that were there to be made, there would be no talk of Tartt's dropped int or the o line giving up pressures on the last 2 drives. We would not have lost momentum and we would have scored atleast 24 points, maybe even more. Which would have been enough to win the game.

And if a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass when he hopped. Jimmy is what he is, and injured Jimmy is even more limited. That doesn't excuse poor play by other players who also failed to execute their responsibilities.

By missing reads (poor pre/post snap reads), not throwing with anticipation and having zero pocket awareness. Here's an example of moving up in the pocket (or not). Donald does his thing but if Jimmy moves up there's a good chance this turns into a positive

Had another play with Deebo lined up on a LBer in single high…Jimmy HAS to recognize that and get the ball out with anticipation.

Yeah I've posted this many of times and people seem to just pass it by…thread of missed reads from that game.

it's all there, yet people for whatever reason don't want our most expensive/important player to have accountability. It's everything around him not being elite for 4QRs that's the issue apparently. I mean it's different when it's a young rookie QB vs a 8 yr vet.

That makes two TD's missed than. This is the one I was speaking of.

The two outside defenders have their eyes on Jimmy, the safety is turned and staring down Aiyuk's route and Deebo is all by himself down the sideline. If this is Stafford, its a TD.

So let's get a QB that doesn't need everyone to execute perfectly on every play to make s**t go. You can't have pro-bowlers at every position and expect the OL to hold for 3+ seconds on every drop back. A great QB knows where to go with the ball before it's snapped. He can react post snap if the coverage changes and can feel pressure then move appropriately…there's a reason why these dudes get paid WAY more than anyone else and there's only 32 starting spots (with like 15 or so of them being good enough).

so yes Jimmy is what he is and that's why SF spent a buttload of picks to get Lance. We will see how that all pans out over the course of 4/5 yrs.

No doubt. s**t that first drive when Jimmy misses an explosive to Kittle, just a bad pass. Maybe the injury was an issue because he's made that throw before. This was on 3rd and 7 . A play like that can change the momentum of the whole game. That's got a chance to be a tuddy if put on the money imo.

he misses BA vs the same coverage as well, Aiyuk should have had like 200 yards this game. We have Stafford this game isn't even close.

edit: I think this is the BA play he missed for a potential TD. Check down 1st down not the worst outcome, but someone like Stafford throws it to Aiyuk there.

imo Lance and BA are gonna do some work this yr

LMAO on posting clips of JG misreads on plays we move the ⛓️

If you look at last still shot of THE Deebo VS LB if doesn't look like Deebo even had any separation. So it's one thing to want the ball to go there because he's supposed to win. It's another if he doesn't win.

Lol yeah a check down is WAY better than a TD derp.

Deebo one on one vs a LBer in single high is ALWAYS an advantage to the offense. If you don't think that then this convo is done. That's why throwing with anticipation and trusting the WR is what matters. NOT waiting for them to separate. Go watch the film he does separate and if Jimmy throws the ball with anticipation it's a TD
Jimmy has zero issues forcing the ball to Deebo in the middle of the field with guys all over him. Matched up on a LBer with a free release vs single high on the outside? Nah man better wait and see if he can get 5 yards of separation first lol. Give me a break.

Jimmy…

I concur. If Trey can improve his timing and anticipation, this offense is going to be very hard to defend.

He would have overthrown deep regardless. Good read with his limited capabilities.

Yeah, the entire team failed In the 4th Q, just like they did In the super bowl. That's something the coaches and players have to Improve upon, so It doesn't happen again.

I mean the played ended in a almost sack/goofy Jimmy incompletion. It's and example of not throwing with anticipation reading a coverage then blaming the OL.

Who says they aren't improving upon it? They went out and made the biggest draft trade in franchise history to improve the QB position. They went out and got a couple bigger RB's to improve upon short yardage situations. They also signed a solid corner to improve the secondary. If I were to take a vote, I bet those 3 areas were the biggest concerns after losing those 2 games.

More consistent play from the most important position in sports is a good start. Jimmy in the playoffs and in the 4th QR is a horrible thing to watch, no matter how you feel about him. Data/film back it up. Hopefully Lance can eventually be that dude we all want.
