I expect Kyle to run as much possible through the first half of the season until Lance feels comfortable, then maybe we'll see his stats increase a little through the 2nd half of the season when things begin to click.

If we are out a lot of starters like vs the Rams we will lose. However, now that we have 4 starting cbs I say it's a win 26-21 my man

Last 3 drives for Stafford vs SF TD/FG/FG...his last drive lasted 5mins and gave them the lead. Jimmy's last 3 drives. Punt/Punt/INT. If we're gonna talk about what if INTS Jimmy had TWO that Ramsey should have picked off. One a legit pick 6. So who folded that game?

As usual you missed the whole point. We are not defending Jimmy at all. I hope you got that part. Just stating Stafford folds A LOT. Just because you want to rip on Jimmy some more, it does not excuse the fact that Matt Stafford led the league in interceptions and folded many times. In the playoffs he was not good. Like I said, just a really horrible horrible example of a quarterback not folding under pressure as you say. Nobody said Jimmy doesn't fold under pressure. Although Jimmy has had quite a few clutch game winning drives. So that is not a good basis for your argument as well. Just a horrible example that's all.

Anyways back to Trey Lance I am sure he can at least perform as well as Jimmy if not better. 20 touchdowns and under 12 interceptions should be a cakewalk for him. I bet Trey will get more TDs in less than 10 games.

Thanks Furlow, I think If Trey just is above game manager play (let's say 12th-16th ranked qb) with his ability to make plays and extend plays with his feet we are winning 1-2 SBS in the next decade

Do you know what position relies the most on another position? WR relies on the QB to throw them the ball on time. Especially when they are wide open down the sideline for a 80 yard TD.

While it certainly helps having a top QB and top PP, I don't think it is an end all be all to winning a SB. It's not the end-all, be-all. But it certainly gives you the best chance. I can't find a better combo yet.

Also, keep in mind the volume of attempts for those teams too.

I would like to see a true corralation between the two though. When its crunch time and its 3rd and medium-long is what I would focus on the most, not the volume of attempts.

I know, it's so frustrating given how few quality metrics there are out there. And to a previous conversation, both a QB and OL can play pretty poor (Rams) for 3 full quarters and then suddenly turn it on and run block and pass protect to perfection and hit every big throw and win but their "overall" grade would be pretty low.

We all agree that an upper tier O-line is important to the success of the team. My question is this, if we go all in on the O-line, what position group are you proposing we downgrade? Due to the salary limits placed on teams it is impossible to have every position group at 'top shelf' level. So where do we downgrade in order to upgrade the O-line?

Finally, a healthy topic. Should we take this to the OL thread? Team Needs?
