He's obviously not ready. Thats how we know. If you put a kid out there too early, he can flounder and it ruins his confidence and development. This roster was too talented to be a QB development year, period.

if he's that much of a puss that he can't handle pressure then he will never be good. IF this roster was so great then that's MORE of a reason to play the guy who you spent the farm on. He doesn't have to be the one making plays every down because the roster blows.

IMO people overrate this roster in general...that secondary was one injury away from being avg. They didn't have the money to have legit depth because we paid too much for a avg starting QB, who was gonna get hurt.

What people said was gonna happen, happened...now Lance is forced to play football, with hardly any snaps with the starters all through camp, played with backups in the preseason and being the scout QB during the season...yeah that's the way to develop your QB.

But here we are and people are gonna complain when he's "not ready" not s**t they didn't do anything to get him ready.

I look at Kyle's history and I really don't see any quarterback he really developed. Kyle can do a great job in drawing up plays and putting a QB in the position to have success on plays. What he has done with Trey to get him ready is inexcusable. Scout team and playing with backups all summer....smh. Kyle get your head out of your a%$.

RG3? Kirk Cousins? Matt Schaub?

Brady was near the top for IAY last yr….gotta get to the SB.

He's literally gotten the most out of his very QB he's been given..

Rewatched his plays several times. Accuracy issues, some ill-advised throws into coverage w/dudes open on other reads, resorts to his legs frighteningly often. I'll attribute some of that to nerves, for sure.

Doesn't have the quickness of Jackson or the tackle breaking of Wilson, but he's more mobile than Jimmy. Good zip on his passes, didn't air mail Deebo on the totally blown coverage play.

Overall, I think its going to be a bumpy ride for the next few weeks, at least.

But I expect it.

🙄

He resorted to his legs because the pocket was collapsing. He also had a few designed runs. His elusiveness looked great. Not sure how you came to anything other than a positive conclusion on where hes at so far.

Yeah, it's a real mystery. lol

Yup. He was pressured on nearly every snap. But that's because 1) We had 5 receiving options out in routes including Juice against prevent defense down two scores and predictable passing situations (extra pass rush) and 2) Trey is a rookie who needs more time to process and has to dodge more of the incoming.

In short, Kyle isn't going to have 5 receivers out there for Trey next game so forget about these stats as a baseline.

I can't wait to see what Kyle does cook up for him though. We might see more 3WR sets and that would be nice to see.

I'm looking forward to seeing Trey play with a game plan for him. And I'm also ready to see him have bad games. That's part of growing for a QB. I'm excited about his future.

I feel so bad for RG3 he couldve been one of the top qbs in the nfl if his body/knees didnt let him down

Justin Fields - 1 TD (0 pass, 1 rush) 2 turnovers, 150 snaps

Zach Wilson - 4 TD (4 pass, 0 rush) 8 turnovers, 253 snaps

Trevor Lawrence - 6 TD (5 pass, 1 rush) 9 turnovers, 254 snaps

...and some will have you believe that he is least ready and most raw prospect of all time drafted in 1st round. I just don't see it. He showed more good things than some of these guys did in the first couple weeks.
