I would not count out McDaniel either here. He is familiar with Kyle's buddy Kirk who they still have under contract and with Kwesi.

Jim Schwartz? At least we get to keep the wide 9, the identity of our defense.

Most likely it would be someone else on staff ( Bullocks?) or someone connected to the Seattle defensive system in some way. I'm sure our front continues to operate out of a wide 9 either way.

In one sense I'd be stoked because he was so good this year. On the other hand the guy completely deserves a gig

Yes. 3rd in 2022 and 2023. So will have 2 3rds this and 3 next year.

I'd hate to lose him as a coach, but I'm as worried about him siphoning off a bunch of the productive guys we had on one year deals.

Hopefully those guys won't want to head to whatever bottom feeder snatches up our coaches.

That said, Minnesota and New Orleans seem like awesome coaching opportunities.

If he goes to Minnesota it will probably be unlikely as they are in a real salary cap bind and will have to make some changes.
