Agreed, and it's something I threw up as a theory when the lawsuits started coming in.

Way too many massage therapists for there to be nothing but innocent professional conduct.

Not saying he's guilty of some of the more extreme stuff, but imo it very much looks like he tried his luck with some of these therapists that made them feel uncomfortable in a professional environment and these days that's all it takes.

Several allegations are from 2019, including the one featured in SI. Even some of the affidavits Watson's lawyer presented were in 2019. So either Watson knew about Covid well before the rest of the world or its just a BS excuse and he's been hitting up numerous masseuses for a long time.

Yeah no doubt he was crossing the line with the masseuses, covid excuse or any other is laughable. i still think the timing is no coincidence and is about a power struggle between a team that wants to maintain control of him rather than let him have his way and trade him. If they actually trade him, I'll reconsider.

Even if they were during covid if your regular isn't available you maybe put a couple extra on speed dial pending availability. You don't need 20+.

Blaming covid is really shady and just makes him look worse.

Yeah, that plus the fact that he's a well known pro athlete makes it clear that he was doing something out of the ordinary to have been in contact with so many women. Lol, damn this dude went from NFL superstar to major creep in just a few months.

I do think Watson goes to these masseuses hoping for something extra. Is that a crime? I don't know, as long as he isn't forcing himself on them maybe not but I don't really know. That's something I would never do and if I were getting all of these massages why isn't he just sticking with a handful of people? I think Watson has a sex problem and needs to seek help.

This argument keeps getting made but it's ridiculous, IMO.

The WHOLE POINT of having a civil court system is to be able to seek damages without having to go through a criminal trial, especially if its something that may be wrong but may not quite rise to the severity of criminality. Do you guys think we should just abandon civil court entirely?

Yes. That many masseuses alone I guess isn't proof of any wrong-doing but it would make anyone raise their eyebrow a bit. The excuse that he was doing it only because of Covid makes absolutely no sense when you consider that:

A: This was going on pre-pandemic

and

B: Why would you be having close contact with dozens of randoms in the middle of pandemic while claiming you're doing it as a direct response to the pandemic?

So I know credibility gets lost in the conversation, but this is a HUGE issue. AGAIN, the attorney who wants "justice" isn't acting like it and took him what 2 - 3 weeks to admit he's lying. This guys isn't some novice and only NOW he says a possible conflict of interest because Watson's lawyer's son (cousin's friend who used to date his OG) works for the HPD? What kind of b******t is that? It's one thing if Buzbee's wife was the chief of police pushing for an investigation. There is something called recusing oneself from an investigation. Now it's indirectly HPD fault because they can't find someone to evaluate evidence that isn't connected to Watson's lawyer?

You see how ridiculous this all sounds?

The burden should never be on the accused to clear himself of BS circumstantial accusations from the shadows if he was not doing something illegal. The man is allowed to have 100 massages a day if he can afford it. It's not my place to judge how someone wants to spend their money or time - especially if they work hard to earn it. If you're doing something illegal or that's causing harm, then yes that needs to be addressed but "eyebrows being raised" because that's what he wants/needs doesn't make him any more/less possibly guilty.

What get's lost in all of this is truth and while we're on that subject, the plaintiff's attorney lied and continues to do so but Watson is the one who needs to explain. Got it.
