Best hope is to keep having Cinci losing out and having a top 3 and calling them going all out getting who the Jags pass up on between Fields or Wilson or getting Lance. They're going to have be be bold and give up picks to get a franchise caliber qb like Wilson or Fields in the top 3

If you're the Bengals why would you agree to drop down 15-20 picks in he 1st round, missing out on all the truly elite talent when there will be QB hungry teams in the Top 10 quite eager to make you a deal, that is assuming they even consider trading down when they would have Penei Sewell sitting right there.

Considering the state of their OL, why wouldn't you just go ahead and draft Sewell who is a legit franchise LT prospect? There isn't another lineman like him in this entire draft.

That is the problem with picking outside of the Top 10, you wouldn't be just asking teams to trade down, you'd be asking them to trade down out of all the truly elite, franchise-changing prospects that are left.

Totally forgot about the Oregon kid, scratch that they're not trading away a chance to draft him especially after getting Burrow killed this year. My bad, i don't think we have a chance at Wilson or Fields. Lance is the best bet and if we continue to win probably won't happen either. It's most likely bringing back Jimmy or taking a chance at a Darnold

2. Jacksonville Jaguars: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU*

The first curveball of this mock draft. In October, I wrote how Wilson had put himself in the conversation to be the second quarterback drafted and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him selected this high. With his natural accuracy and ability to execute off-platform, Wilson's play translates very well to the next level.

Who did we select ?

also, We're going to have to trade our asses off for this guy. which i don't mind if we do

Horn DB from South Carolina. Love the prospect I just don't see SF spending top picks on secondary. DL is what makes the defense go, not top end man corners.

Make that Stokes from Georgia and I'll be

Horn > Stokes

This season, I haven't been impressed with Georgia's corners at all. Stokes and Campbell's play have been underwhelming.

I like Lance as well...I don't think SF has a shot in hell at Lawrence/Fields so a lot of my time has been spent watching the other 2.

Fields has a chance to be the best QB of the bunch though.

Also I'm not gonna force myself to like someone else just because we have a better shot at drafting them (Jones/Trask).

So do you 'like' Jones or do you 'not like' Jones? I see you flip flopping back and forth on it.

Not gonna lie between Wilson and Jones threads i seen a lot of "Bama boyz"/Lamb vs Mims/Aiyuk in his "tone".

Wilson gets credit vs Texas st. "Cause he still has to make the throws"
But Jones' supporting cast is constantly being brought up and dismissing the fact that Jones too "still has to make the throws"

I'm patiently waiting.

We can trade with Dallas if they continue to suck and get the left over between Fields and Wilson.
Jets-Lawrence
Jags-Wilson/Fields
Cinci-Sewell
Cowboys can be open for a trade but would have to give up good stuff

Horn is good but he opens the gates far to quickly which isn't a problem in college but in the league it could become an issue. Not saying Stokes is perfect either he is reliant on two hand jams when he's playing press and also doesn't remain patient and trusting his footwork. I just got a feeling about Stokes.

You could absolutely be right. Georgia's pass rush isn't as it was in previous seasons and guys like Stokes, Campbell, and Lecountt are feeling that effect.

A team that also needs a QB isn't trading out of a draft slot just so the 49ers can select a QB instead. Jets will get Lawrence, Jacksonville will get whatever QB they want out of Fields or Wilson.

What if Minshew mania comes back full steam

The team to watch is the Bears. I definitely can see them moving up for a QB.

I'm expecting to see it from Carolina. All that PJ Walker stuff is laughable. Bridgewater is a bridge QB, nothing more and they have an offensive minded HC who just came from college and for whom Wilson or Lance could both work very well.

Yah, the Bears are always aggressive and it's a team that should be sick and tired of having no qb. Still amazed how's Ryan Pace is still their GM

Agreed. Panthers gotta take a QB if one of the top 4 or 5 are available. It's been plenty time to see that Teddy isn't the answer. There is some hope that they can win 2 or 3 of their final 4 games, especially if CMAC can come back. But not sure that will do anything for us anyways
