This guy has been flying up draft boards this year. Good size (6'3"/210). Strong, accurate arm. Moves around really well and throws well on the move. Plays significant snaps under center and is very effective in both the straight play action game and boots (huge for a QB in Kyle's system). Beautiful mechanics but isn't mechanical, he can deliver the ball from many different arm angles as needed for a given throw. He's also effective throwing the ball to all different levels: deep, intermediate, short, and in the screen game. This is the type of QB I could see Lynch & Shanahan falling in love with for Kyle's offense. Andre Ware was gushing over him with the throws he was making and Tom Luginbill was comparing him to Patrick Mahomes with his ability to move around, play off script, and deliver the ball in so many different ways. Weaknesses seem to be that he can be overly aggressive in his decision making both running the ball and pushing the ball downfield when it would be more prudent to check the ball down. And he's struggled with injuries up until this season. After two consecutive sold gains in the run game, this! Play action pass, TE wheel. Carter Wheat hauls in the perfectly thrown ball from Zach Wilson. Carter high points the ball for the TD reception. Great incremental play calling from coaches and execution from players. Draft day turned out a little different as we can all recall.

Far far too early to say Fields will definitely be the second QB off the board.

Outside of Lawrence, Fields was one of the top recruits to come out in some time (They're both from GA and same recruit class).

Fields isn't some out of right field prospect...he's been highly touted since HC. He plays in a better conference (by a mile) and literally can do everything Wilson can do. He's bigger/stronger and his arm talent is better.

I love Wilson as a prospect. Fields is simply better. He's not comparable to the Paxton Lynch situation ( 3 star recruit with only two offers in Memphis and Florida A&M).

That was a really weak year for QBs where teams had to talk themselves into guys being Top 5 caliber. 2021 might have been similar if Lawrence and Fields weren't going to be in this upcoming draft class but they clearly are the top two.

Fields is QB2 currently but that does not mean that will hold. Also either could find themselves as QB2 for Jacksonville depending on who the new HC/GM combo ends up being... system/scheme might lean towards one guy being a better fit.

The only way Fields isn't going #2 is if he gets seriously injured or has some crazy off field incident.

The team that selects Justin Fields will be the ultimate winner of the #NFLDraft, because they'll get a more impactful prospect than is normally available at that pick

Not because of one football game...because of what the football game was and how we looked in it.

Anything is possible but I'd be very surprised if we lost vs Dallas or Washington. That puts us at 7-9 assuming we don't pull out another one.

Unless you think Wilson won't go top 10 he's out of our range. I really don't see Shanahan trading up what it would take to get him at this point.
