Everyone knows what Grant is. Everyone knows his schtick.

And while he may be a hack, so is 99% of the media. News in this day and age is entertainment, first and foremost. You want people like Grant to go away? Stop giving him attention. But that's been said by many here, ad nauseam. It won't ever happen. And the recent posts in this thread prove it.

Grant is better off today than he was prior to this Kinlaw situation. Whatever happens to Grant (press pass removed, etc.), it isn't going to change him, nor will it impact his bottom line. The guy will still get paid to report. And I use the term "report" loosely.

Deebo, Kinlaw, Pettis, etc...man, we sure have some mentally soft players. So much for the "49ers Way" formula.

It's not soft to call out someone that continually slanders you the way Cohn does to these athletes. He runs his mouth about them nonstop and when one finally has had enough, he turns straight b***h and starts complaining about his mistreatment.

You think a single guy in that locker room has even a slight bit of respect for Cohn? Especially a guy like Kinlaw who had the exact opposite of the privileged upbringing that Cohn did. Someone that has dealt with real difficulty and struggle in their life beyond deciding to vacation in Tahoe or Cabo.

Imagine calling Kinlaw soft after all the s**t that guy has been through.

Or Deebo...not sure what NC is puffing on today but it's clearly impacting his thought process.

What you dont understand is ascension. Some people will never understand spirituality or have the option to be awakened, toxic people like Nancy Grant.

I'm not sure why you believe that having his press pass pulled wouldn't affect him in anyway. Manish Mehta was far more accomplished and once his press pass was gone, his career was effectively over.

Without that press pass, what does Cohn bring to the table that others can't do better? He'd no longer be a 49ers beat guy, I doubt that other NFL teams would be falling over themselves to bring that toxicity into their building. He's not a compelling writer by any stretch of the imagination. At that point, what's the difference between him and that Ryan Sakamoto guy? Without a press pass, even his dad's name and legacy can only carry him so far.

I'll always support a player over some ridiculous hot take artist. It's one thing if a player gets into it with an actual journalist like Maiocco, Kawakami, Peter King or Jay Glazer. These folks have a job to do too and don't deserve to be harassed over it.

But Cohn? Guys like him are the types that shouldn't be allowed inside any team facility. They aren't making an attempt at well-intentioned professional sports journalism, they are trolling for reaction and will say/write anything to make it happen. Give Cohn the boot and watch him quickly fade into irrelevance.

Tim Kawakami had a similar issue with John Herrera. Same "hit me so I can get your money" response too (he said he would love to own part of the franchise, if struck). Grant is wrong in this situation. So is Kinlaw. And it happens all the time. To me this isn't news. The fact here so many think it is tells me Grant came out on top. And that's a disgusting outcome.

Something nobody is talking about.

How is Kinlaws mental health and emotional well-being?

Dude has suffered through unfortunate injuries and setbacks early in his career that has stifled his ability to get on the field more and to try and develop into an impactful player who lives up to his draft expectations.

That can affect a player both mentally and emotionally and cause them to have a shorter fuse and a tougher time holding back when being criticized. We also forget Javon is still young and clearly not fully matured yet as evidenced by how he handled this is a less than professional manner. It also isn't uncommon though for males to not be fully matured at 24.

Does anyone know the mental anguish of being physically stifled by your body and watching your hopes and dreams possibly slip away knowing you can't control all of it? I highly doubt it's easy on one's mental and emotional states.

I am not saying JK has these issues but people are so quick to lobby criticisms without giving much thought to what this young man has been through, both with the environment in which he grew up and with the hand life has dealt him since turning pro. He could have some deeper rooted issues, so before criticizing, try walking a mile in his shoes and understanding that there may be more to his reaction than one can see.

There is also such thing as journalistic integretity. Honest criticisms are fine but criticisms meant to drive clicks and views possess zero integrity and add nothing of value. All it does is further foster a bad culture.

Deebo cried about something Jennifer Lee Chan said and got her player access privileges revoked. That's soft. JLC of all people. And now we're here with Deebo. Soft.

Kinlaw was completely out of control. He should use all of that aggression on the football field.

Kinlaw should focus on being a football player, and let Grant focus on writing the negative articles. Grant got exactly what he wanted.
