This is very poignant, and I'm surprised no one else has quoted it, it explains a great deal of what happened yesterday.

Kinlaw, and others who have followed from similar backgrounds, could use all of that pain to drive an amazing career, or it could consume him.

I just don't think risks like that should be taken with 1st round picks.

I'm rooting for the guy, and IMO you aren't a fan if you don't, but I wouldn't have drafted him in the 1st round.

Man, that was a lose-lose. I can't stand Grant Cohn, but Kinlaw made a complete ass out of himself in the process. My only issue is that everyone acts like you have to pick sides on this. If you criticize Kinlaw that means you support Grant. That's BS to me. If it's political or football or race or anything people act like you have 1 of 2 options.

Any nuanced answers means you'll be hated by both sides.

I don't like what Kinlaw did but I certainly don't have any sympathy for Grant. I was one of the first people back in the day to push for Grants "reporting" to be removed from this website.

He's on the 3rd year on his rookie deal and he played like crap when he's on the field
