Teams have to become fiscally prudent. You can't pay everyone, your QB, pass rusher, OTand shutdown corner come to mind. If you can trade somebody for a #1 and a two or three it's worth looking into.

I never said Deebo was a dime a dozen player. I said WRs are. Kyle doesn't "need" a deebo type WR for his offense to work. And there's a reason why Deebo is a 1 of 1. His role last year was created out of necessity and it doesn't breed confidence towards his longevity on a massive contract that he may be asking for. Im fine with whatever the FO does in this situation.

If you watched deebo's tape in college, you saw all the stuff he did last yr at South Carolina. He always had that ability as a runner. Yes deebo isn't a dime a dozen player, which is who we're discussing. Kyle loves him some Deebo and he expands the possibilities in play calling. You can't simply replace him.

Issue is not every team who might trade for him has a Kyle Shanahan to call those types of plays. Not every team is gonna trade high end draft capital and pay Deebo what he wants IMO.

They will meet in the middle and it's April not July so whatever

I believe Kyles vision is a 21 personel alignment where the WR, RB, and TE can line up at any position (out wide, in the slot, in the backfield). Then you add a running threat at QB and you can transform any formation into any number of alignments once the defense exposes their formation. You never know what it can turn into. We pretty much have all the pieces except the o-line. Why would we let one of the hardest to find pieces a Wr that can play RB at the top level walk? He is the key piece along with Trey (as long as he continues on his current trajectory) that makes this offense completely unpredictable.
