I just read that like 15 mins before you posted lol...
Kyle and John defintiely need to start being more ruthless in squad building, get them out a year early rather a year late and get something back.

And the new contract was doubling down on the mistake as they've no cheap out this off season.

Exactly!

Time out for playing friends

This is business and we need to let Paraag run the show more so than not because he's doing the money and he ain't about doing dumb emotional deals. The only one you should overextend for is the QB and any sure fire without a doubt HOF player still elite at what he does. Otherwise wash rinse and repeat on these guys because unlike these players, we have to put the franchise first and we are right to do so just as the players are right to put themselves first

It feels like his exit meeting was an absolute ass chewing of epic proportions. Calling out Deebos blocking and run off effort. Calling out his crying for the ball when he gets spoon fed more than anyone that wasn't a RB. I'm sure he's gonna talk s**t on his pod after he's on another team which sucks cause that 2021 season was one of the most fun seasons I've ever had just being a fan watching him. But as it's been stated you can't have your captain half assing it and crying for more opportunities. I don't care about the kicker issue cause I still think Deebo was in the right in that situation cause f**k moody.

Nope

If you're gonna cry about the ball and I give it to you then you better damn well do something with it. Then you can't call out Moody who is on his rookie deal when you're being paid like an All Pro but not performing like one yourself after CMC and Aiyuk went down now it's exposed that you can get open and make the impact we're used to you making

Be humble
A lot of our guys complained and talked but the Eagles went out and won. I'm used to us having winners and seeing Montana and Rice with Super Bowl rings. I'm not used to this new school where guys are saying we have the best team and then don't come back with the hardware

Agree

I have never, until now, been on the Moody sucks/get rid of him bandwagon. It's somewhat humorous and kind of pathetic at the same time (imo) that you have this group of people who never planned to get over that he was a 3rd round pick. It's like, it happened, what's done is done, let it go. And he wasn't as bad his rookie year as people want to claim. He was actually acceptable for a rookie kicker and probably was going to be better this year because he started out great. I still think what undid him was the injury and still wouldn't be surprised if he succeeds at some point. But I am okay now with that being elsewhere if that's what happens.

But this is about Deebo. It reminds me actually of a situation at work that's frustrating. We have 2 team leads. One of them I have generally liked and I think does a good job. One almost no one at all likes. Both both of them together, or even as individuals now, I sometimes find myself thinking, "how are you going to hold us to a standard you're not holding yourself to?" And so it is and was with Deebo. I get in the moment, Moody is choking, you're frustrated. But if you're a captain, a leader, accountability starts with self first. If you can say you're giving your best effort, if you're performing, yeah you can have a bad game, but overall if you're playing the way you should, call him out. But if you're 20 pounds overweight, doing nothing but standing around, getting tackled like it's nothing, dropping passes, can't get open, whining about getting the ball, albeit that came later, captain or no captain shut the hell up. Get better yourself. Lead by example.

Honestly I think how the handle the situation dictates it. Trent, CMC, Bosa, Kittle, they were quiet and professional about it. Granted CMC's got done pretty quick and Trent's was still a bit annoying because we just paid you (basically) and you've hinted at retirement almost every single year. But they didn't become drama queens like Deebo and Aiyuk. Part of it seems to be hard wired in to the position of WR. The rest, I don't know. But I think when guys do take to social media or allow the social media stuff and rumors to go crazy they show a lack of maturity, professionalism, character in some cases. And look at Deebo now. I can't predict the future but I wouldn't be surprised if Aiyuk goes the same route if he comes back healthy but isn't happy for some reason. I don't necessarily like some of Lenoir's stuff on social media either but he hasn't really been a distraction or greater problem to the team that I've noticed. It's just talk. People dog Bosa because he hasn't come all that close to matching his DPOY level after signing that contract. I get it. But he's still out there winning a fair percentage of his rush attempts, getting pressures, causing havoc, and playing hard all the time.

Tired of the drama with him and his social media based BS. Like buddy you asked for the trade, the least you can do is not lower your value by being a baby.

I think you are exactly right and Deebo cant take the heat so he wants ouf of this kitchen. Deebo was easily my favorite Niner aside Kittle these last few years, but I have to be real that the last season wasn't good and basically, he got paid and was never the same. I agree on Moody as well. He makes no sense to me, but we will save that for his thread.

This Deebo situation is unfortunate as a fan, but tbh the issue is Deebo himself. It is too easy for me to say Kyle and John should have known better. I expect him to have a good year regardless because his main motivation is another pay day.

I am at a point where I think WR need to be drafted every year. When we have a good one and they are due a huge deal they get traded unless we know they are actually not sociopaths.
i thought deebo always had weight problems so maybe he's tired of it when its coming from kyle instead of wes welker since a rookie

I amazes me that athletes making millions of dollars can let themselves get out of shape. They all can afford a professional dietician and trainer. They don't hesitate to hold out for more money but then can't put in the time to stay in playing shape.

I agree and was just thinking how there's no way Juice can be on the roster in 2025.

I swear I heard Deebo just casually mention that he was 230 pounds this year in a podcast, and I was like wait what. I guess Kawakami's report confirms it.

I have good money that when Deebo gets traded and starts yapping about things on his podcast or social media he'll claim it was because of pneumonia(but you don't get fat when you get sick, you lose weight)

He's already claimed people were making things up but we all saw him on the field. Even when plays were blocked well for him he wasn't breaking things the way he used to.
