(The Bears 1st rounder could be low and the Raiders 2nd rounder could be high in the round.) So, right now the deal looks like a very, very good one for Chicago.

Agreed, they stole Mac.

THIS is exactly what I had in mind on why we should have traded for Mac.. it woulda been obvious that we'll be drafting late, and we would have never found 2 first rounders as good as Mack..

According to Jay Glazer, we offered roughly the same thing the Bears did (heck I think we offered Buckner, as well) but the Raiders chose Chicago.

I don't blame the front office for this one. Now if we offered one 1st and that was it I would agree with you. But we clearly put ourselves out there and the Raiders said no to us. You can only do so much.

According to Ian R Chc was the only team to offer 2 1sts.

Because Fangio pounded his fist on the table the same way he did for Aldon at the draft.

Highway robbery.
Bears go from laughing stock to playoff team in one season with hardly any additions. Bears and Rams showed how important a top offensive HC and a pass rush makes.

...or Donald. Can make a case that they both might even be the league MVP but defensive players rarely ever win that.

You have analysts calling this the worst trade of all time, yet we have people in here that are focused on "2 first round picks" (when in reality its far less than 2 first round picks).

Raiders got fleeced. Period.

It's going to be tight but both guys are clearly the two best DLinemen in the NFL.

That is some odd logic right here. But all good.

I think I was on crack that night. My point stands that I am glad the Rams got goff because I think he buckles under pressure just like we saw him miss some easy easy throws against Kansas City and also should've thrown the game ending interception. I am also glad the Bears got Mitch because he is not a good quarterback at all in my opinion. He has room for improvement but we all know what it is to hope for a quarterback to get more accurate overtime. It really doesn't happen.

The fact that the Bears got Mack was a lot better than the Rams in my opinion. The Bears will be a good defense with him however they will never win a Super Bowl with Mitch at quarterback. That's why I was saying I was glad the Bears got Kahlil Mack instead of a better team like the Rams
