The 33% that said no have the same mind state as the front office and didn't want to over spend and wanted to get the clearance price on Khalil Mack.

According to Jay Glazer, we offered roughly the same thing the Bears did (heck I think we offered Buckner, as well) but the Raiders chose Chicago.

I don't blame the front office for this one. Now if we offered one 1st and that was it I would agree with you. But we clearly put ourselves out there and the Raiders said no to us. You can only do so much.

For balance, Benjamin Allbright sided with the bold (we weren't really a serious player) and last night during the game, they said the Packers almost won him.

Meh. I trust Glazer over Allbright. Glazer was spot on about the Harbaugh situation before most people.

And yes of course the Packers were serious players for Mack. Jets and Colts too.

According to Ian R Chc was the only team to offer 2 1sts.
I said no as well, not because I didn't think Mack was worth it, but because of the Bears overall. Trubisky has looked like a bust for the most part, and I didn't think that giving away two first round picks for a team that will finish with 5-6 wins at best is worth it. But that offense has stepped up and now it's looking like a great deal.

Disagree. You can always choose to do more. And most believe that the Raiders got fleeced. People cant have the opinion the Raiders got raped in the trade, and then say they dont believe we should have offered more.
This guy is a game changer. Hope Lynch don't make the same mistake of another talent of this level ever becomes available.
Probably would have taken three 1sts to convince the raiders to trade him across the bay. Having said that, hes proven to be worth three 1sts. Hes better than our 3 first round d-lineman combined.

And no, claiming he's not worth two 1sts and $23.5M/year is not the same thing.

Yup.

That's Reggie White kind of power....

Khalil credited Aldon for helping him master that move.

That's cool. Given patterns over the past 2 off seasons, I tend to lean more towards BA but to each his own.

LOL...truth.

If it took two firsts and the Raiders gave back their second in 2020, we could have just told them to keep their second and call it even...I would have seriously considered three firsts.

And it's now just how he pancakes him with one arm but where he plants him in position to still make a play on the QB...uncanny.

Basically the Bears gave up one first rounder in 2019 for Mack and exchanged their first for Oakland's second in the 2020 draft, which could be almost a wash if the Raiders and Bears have records in 2019 like this year. (The Bears 1st rounder could be low and the Raiders 2nd rounder could be high in the round.) So, right now the deal looks like a very, very good one for Chicago.
