Works for the fans but if he is lying, teams will find out through league circles and backdoor channels.

Malcolm Butler was benched after 'breaking curfew to attend Rick Ross concert after [tr]
Bill Belichick reportedly made the decision to bench Malcolm Butler after the cornerback struggled in practice and committed a serious rules infraction while in Minneapolis. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Butler was already questionable after he struggled during practice all week. Not helping his lackluster performance on the field was the fact that Butler had twice been admitted to the hospital in the days before the team traveled to Minnesota with flu-like symptoms.

7 pages for a losing player on a losing team. Radio guy called it perfectly, the entire world knows who the losing team is this year but not the entire world know who won.

"Never attended any concert", "never missed any curfew", "visited with my family every night", etc. sounds like pretty balsy statements for someone *if they were* lying imo. Itd be career suicide to double down like that publicly and then be busted out afterward. I dont see why someone would speak that matter of factly, knowing the truth is out there and it will come to light. Terribly idiotic if in fact he is lying, and certainly not out of the realm of possibilty.
His emotions seemed genuine prior to the game, which seemes to back up this statement. Why act that way if you know you f**ked up? Genuine pain about finding out at the last minute and not being able to contribute on the biggest stage seemingly.
