Fantastic...

Good to know young QB's dont even know what the heck is going on, and are just praying the one route they remember gets open.

This is why you can't listen to the ignorant individuals who are oblivious to a lot of factors affecting one's play and call a player garbage in his rookie season, despite statistically outperforming many of the other top quarterbacks in the league by comparison to their rookies years. Not to mention doing so while trying to operate what is widely known as the most complicated scheme in the NFL and do it with an incredibly weak supporting cast missing linemen and receivers.

Are you talking about me?
I never said Beathard was garbage. Its just discouraging to know that young QB's are literally calling plays that they hardly even remember, and are basically guessing on. No wonder guys look totally lost. He thinks he remembered one guy had an out route, so he was just going to look at that read and pray he got open. Meanwhile were all watching these games thinking our players are totally prepared.

No, no not at all. There were people out there calling Beathard trash in spite of what many would consider not that bad of a rookie season considering the circumstances. They wrote him off before he even had a chance to show what he could do with a year of learning and growing, and those are the people I'm referencing, the ones who don't take any other facts into consideration and make downright silly conclusions about players. Conclusions that are unwarranted, untrue, and based off emotion instead of a combination of ALL facts and reason/logic.

Spot on brotha. If nothing else, CJ has proven to be a more than capable backup which is exactly what we signed him for. Don't know why so many complain about that. Dude still stands tall in the pocket and takes the punishment after everything that happened to him last season as a rookie. That stuff ruins careers ala Gabbert and Carr most recently, guys get happy feet and skittish at any sign of pressure after taking that kind of punishment. Not CJ, kid shows no fear and gets nothing but respect from me. Can't coach that
I like what a saw last week from 2$ Steak! Let's hope he can keep it up!
No Staley. No McG.

CJ may not survive much longer. All the injuries seemed worse than last year
SANTA CLARA – Four of the next six weeks, the 49ers will be featured on prime time, available to national television audiences.
The potential star power of Jimmy Garoppolo will not be on display, as Garoppolo underwent season-ending surgery this week to repair a torn ACL in his left knee.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported this week that NFL officials would like the 49ers to trade for Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles in order to draw better TV ratings. The 49ers' first prime time game is scheduled for Week 6 in Green Bay on "Monday Night Football." The 49ers then face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night in Week 7, the Raiders in Week 9 on Thursday night, and the New York Giants in Week 10 on Monday night.

This is from an article in the newsfeed. Pretty outrageous if it is true. The idea of the league having any say at all over who should play where so that their ratings don't drop would certainly signal the beginning of the end. Might as well just give all the players knifes and rename it the Hunger Games
If he can't beat the Cards, I'm not jumping on his wagon. Still skeptical about his play.

Ratings go through the roof if the game announcers start calling Beathard —Beat Hard. The power of splitting his name is like the power unleashed splitting atoms

If CJ starts winning they won't be complaining.

This. As long as the games are close and entertaining people will watch. And like you said if CJ doea something crazy like winning in GB they won't have any issues.
NFL officials would like 49ers to trade for Foles, lol.

Fake news is real.

Can you imagine the repercussion if it were to actually happen? So much credibility would be lost. It's totally fake news.

Yeah me too. I guess I saw a different game than those who are all the sudden high on Beathard. He played a 23 ranked D and turned the ball over 3 times.

Three times? Beathard was only actually responsible for one turnover. And their pass defense was better than that going in from what I recall, despite playing the Chiefs and Rams who have the #8 and #1 offenses in the NFL respectively. Their defense isn't a bottom feeder unit.

Even if CJ puts on enough of a prime time show and beats the Packers, there will be people that complain we didn't line him up at Edge and have him sack Rodgers 3 times.
