I hope Beathard continues to build on what he did last week to push Jimmy to be even better.

While I was impressed with beathard (my overall bar is low for him to begin with) and he will make SF games watchable, but outside of that pass to kittle (which he was wide open) what other deep pass did he attempt (and was successful) last week? I don't remember any?

I think that was a part of jimmy's game that he made strides in over the off season.

CJ looked a lot more in control compared to last yr which is nice. His accuracy looked better from the preseason. He still holds onto the ball wayyyyy too long. He's gotta see those blitzes and can't be afraid to throw the ball away instead of taking a sack.

All in all, I'm feeling a little better with him in there after watching this game.

That's awesome
His toughness is what this team needs right now.

Since this team seems to be soft as marshmallows with 10+ injuries per game.

This is Beathard's chance to shine and if he can help guide the 9ers to maybe 7-9, teams may give the 9ers a call next off season!! Green Bay could use a good back up QB.

Trying to act like the Pats ya know!!!

Trust me I laughed typing that, then I just said screw it...press post!!!

Beathard last week, I think someone posted a stat, had less time to throw per pass attempt than any quarterback in the league has had so far this year. I want to believe that wasn't true but hard to ignore the numbers. I feel like maybe the perception that he holds it too long is overblown due to fans not realizing our line hasn't been pass blocking very well since Jimmy can escape rushes a lot of times with his quickness or fast release. With both tackles hurt last game and him still doing what he did, I was impressed.
He thinks the team can make the playoffs. Should be put on concussion protocol for saying that.

I would imagine that is true due to the fact we lost both starting tackles...I'm not just talking about last game, this even goes back to college (holding onto the ball lack of pocket awareness). Dude was sacked 58x in two yrs at Iowa.

Not bashing him because he looked much more confident back there...he's gotta pull the trigger though. OL needs and WRs need to help him as well

Yes! Let's now trade one of the few players on this team that's tough enough to play in the league. Brilliant!
one thing i didn't notice before is that his passes kind of flutter. seems to not have an issue hitting all the passes though

LOL more than likely not gonna happen

However

If we find a way to sweep Tards and beat Raiders / Giants at Levis, that'll be 5 wins going into the bye week...................
I like CJ. If we had a d, he would win games for us. He is better than last year.
The box was stacked to try and control the run game while making CJ try and beat you. No team has or ever will stack the box and make Jimmy prove he can beat you with the passing game. Maybe Zona will play it straight up and not dare Beathard to beat them with the passing game. Hopefully the run game picks it up this week.

Not less than any QB in the league. He had 2.57 seconds to throw, JG had 2.75. Before the last game, JG was ranked #15 in time to throw. At 2.57 seconds, CJ would be tied for 25th, with Luck and Dalton. NFL Next Gen stats modified their report this week, making 38 passes qualifying, so he's not on it right now. I snapped a screenshot though.

TT is time to throw.

As for deep passes, CJ hit 4 passes over 20 yards and 1 pass over 40 yards last Sunday.

He threw for 298 yards, 2 TDs, 2 questionable INTs, 19 yards rushing. But the best stat is only 1 sack behind a swiss cheese OL.
