For me personally, I'm old school and in this offense, I want him to sit for a full year and compete next off season. But, I can certainly see the logic in giving him a go at some point if we want to gauge what we could have going forward.

He threw right to them, even Nick Bellore would catch those balls.

The thing is, it doesn't matter what we need to see in CJ, but rather it matters what Shanahan needs to see in CJ. So he's not playing until Shanahan sees fit to see what he has in regular season games, and not a moment earlier unless Hoyer gets injured.

3 and out is, 3 and out no matter what offense you are running. If Chip K. Offense was hitting the long ball touchdown i could see the argument there. I think Kyle is a ball control style with big hits on 3rd downs, but we just haven't seen it. Lol But I did see it work in ATL so I have hooe. All in all our offense needs to stay on the field and give our Defense some rest so they can close out games in the 4th QTR.

At least with Kaepernick, Chip's offense put up points in the first half of games...we were competing, from the offensive side of the ball.

Right now from an offensive perspective, we are not even competing in the first half...at least from the QB position.

Well if Hoyer plays another bummer game on Thursday at home vs the Rams, whom we should beat despite being underdogs, then I think Shanny should, at least think about starting CJ. How is Shanny going to gauge his offense if Hoyer can't even move the ball consistently.

what? Chip's offense got blown up and exposed by Carolina and Seattle last year. In fact, they were worse blowouts. The only thing you could say is that Gabbert got points in garbage time. Are we even counting those?
I don't think Kaep was much better. They put up points against mediocre defenses in the 1st half, and then collapsed.

Hoyer is playing like ass...yet it still has nothing to do with Kap, Kelly, O'Neil, Harbaugh or Christ...wait, maybe Christ because He did deliver a parting of the sea moment in our pass rush and simply delivered Wilson to the promised land at the last second. But the rest is ancient history and irrelevant unless you are hoping ShanaLynch bring them all back now. LOL
