49ers agreed to terms with QB Brian Hoyer on a two-year contract. Things had been heading this direction all day. Hoyer will reunite in San Francisco with former OC Kyle Shanahan, likely serving as a bridge until the 49ers can find their long-term answer. Signing Hoyer likely means the 49ers will not trade for Kirk Cousins this offseason, but it seems like a foregone conclusion Cousins will end up in San Francisco at some point. The league has caught up to Kaep's mobility. He would have to beat teams from the pocket most of the time and we all know how that is.

I never had anything against Kap and I'd like to see him in SF....

....but it was time to move on. Both the team and the player needed to move on. Its over.

This was a QB and WR that had to learn a brand new system......meanwhile Hoyer and Garcon both already know it and stink.........maybe it's the elite talent that actually won those games and not the system.......just a guess.

He's be light years better than Hoyer

BUT it'll never happen IMO.

He can run a gimmicky pistol offense with pro bowlers all around him. Other than that he sucks.
