The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 2 contest against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Ahead of practice, the 49ers placed tight end Jake Tonges on injured reserve. Tonges suffered an MCL injury in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams and will miss the remainder of the 2026 season.
The 49ers will also be without rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling for an extended period. Stribling suffered an ankle injury in the season opener and is expected to be placed on injured reserve in the coming days.
When asked how much time Stribling is expected to miss, head coach Kyle Shanahan said, "Not exactly sure, but it's going to be some time. Close to 10 weeks ... We feel good he'll get back this season. It'll take some time."
On Wednesday, the 49ers promoted wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge from the practice squad to the active roster and officially signed tight end Jack Stoll to the practice squad.
Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Dolphins, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
